Installation of this Rough Country bumper was OK as far as physically removing the old one and installing the RC bumper.

OK, I lied. Removing the old bumper was not pleasant since I had to salvage the factory wiring harness and sensors in order to have my back-up sensors work. I paid for that fancy warning stuff and wanted to keep it, which is partly why I went with this bumper.

The problem is that when I got to the point in the install, the instructions went completely useless as to how to attach the harness to the new bumper, how to install the sensors, and how to attach the control modules for the sensors.

I went to the Rough Country website and sent an email to their Tech department, asking how to finish the install. That was on Monday. No reply all week.

Looking at the bumper, it looks like I will have to drill holes in the bumper in order to mount the control modules as there are no provisions to bolt them on...

I will also have to redneck-engineer the securing of the harness and getting the sensors to mount in the oddly-configured RC holes. I've seen that the sensors can be very sensitive to how they are mounted and am concerned that the locations of the holes in the RC bumper is not even close to the factory position.

Not having backup sensors is no big deal, but the backup camera no longer works, and I have found it to be essential for parking this beast at work with the canopy and 80% tint windows.

So, has anyone else installed this bumper and used the factory sensor harness? Has anyone seen a video that shows how to attach the harness and sensors to the bumper?

I'm really not happy with RC ghosting me. I was tempted by their front bumper, but after this PITA install and no response, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Those are the BSM modules not back up control modules in your last picture. They are radar sensors and need a signal permeable material or no obstruction to function properly.

There are only a few BSM compatible bumpers available for Tundras.
