Which Rear Shocks to Compliment Eibach Pro Truck Front Adjustable Shocks?

I've searched all over but want to see if I'm missing something, or if there's a brand/model I'm just not coming across. I've had 5100's on a few vehicles in the past, and while they're sufficient they really suck on washboard or dirt trails where you're able to go 20+mph. So my question is this... are there any rear shocks that compliment either the Eibach Pro Truck front adjustable shocks, or even the Fox 2.0 adjustables? I want something that's better than the 5100 at handling these types of roads and won't rattle my my teeth, but also something that won't break the damn bank.

For reference, this is a 2010 Sequoia Platinum that may have 0.5-1" of rear lift in the future, but for the time being is stock height in the rear. Will be bringing the front up 0.5-1.5" to help level it out.

    Thanks in advance!

The 6112’s were definitely on my list but they are cost prohibitive at this time. I’ve pretty much decided on either the Eibach’s or Fox 2.0 adjustables, I’m just concerned with finding a complimentary rear shock that isn’t going to break the bank.

How about Eibach PRO rear shocks?

    What he said^^

I really enjoyed Eibach suspension on my 4Runner. Much better on road ride quality. Don’t know if I would go back to Bilstein to be honest.

Pretty sure Eibach doesn't make anything specifically for the Sequoia rear shocks. Tundra yes, Sequoia no.

    So far... (Rear Sequoia Only)

    - Elka - $600/pair
    - Dobinsons - $400-$600/pair
    - Toytec - $500/pair

All of the above are more than I want to spend, but may have no other choice.

    - Bilstein 5100 - $210/pair
    - Bilstein 4600 - $200/pair

I really don't want Bilstein rear's because their digressive damping sucks on washboard/gravel roads at speed. Having a dentist reinstall fillings and crowns is not cheap.

    Too many, but not enough....
I'm using Billy 5160 with mine and I love it. They support a higher rear lift and they have rezis.

Yeah I hear ya! I had ordered 5100's prematurely and discovered the 6112's at the same time and just decided to go for it and cancelled the 5100 order.
I just realized you had a Platinum......so you're keeping your airbags right, so you just need rear shocks?? Have you ever thought of getting rid of the rear bags and converting to springs? I don't kno if ZI would or not if I had a Platinum but I hear a lot of guys that do. I also hear a lot of people that really like the rear bags. It would be pricey to do it though.
Are you on Facebook? If so, join the Toyota Sequoia 2nd Generation page.....make sure you answer all the questions when you sign up and agree to everything or you won't get approved. I'm a moderator on there actually. It is a great resource and response time to questions are really fast, usually within minutes (unlike forums) and there is a search function up top that you can find plenty of archived info about Platinum suspension setups and other related things.

Dobinsons yellows are $340 a pair with the extensions (says you need the extensions with 2.5" springs, not sure how high the rear bags will get your rear)
I have the yellows on my 1.75" springs and they are awesome, no bounce or rattle.

I thought about buying the Limited originally, but ended up with such a sweet deal on a low mile Platinum that I couldn't pass it up. Now that I actually have the rear air suspension, I'm in love and would never ditch it LOL.

As for Facebook, cancer runs in my family.

Funny you say that. I just found a pair of their rear nitro's for $290. That may be the best option yet. As far as I can tell from their product information I shouldn't need the installation/lift bracket (part #WA59-563K) when not lifting the rear. This is more in line with the pricing I was looking for.

As you are finding out, the rear shock options for the sequoia are pretty limited. Being an air suspension rear, it’s even more limited but I’m told they should all work just the same. Most guys say they just tape up the wire for the factory variable shock and they are good to go.

I went with 5100’s as they were pretty much the only option I could find in stock at the time. I would prolly just pony up the cash for a Dobinson IMS, though. I like the Dobinson MRA setup on my tundra but it’s overkill for my sequoia, so the IMS should fit the bill for me.

I had a few conversations with Eibach and they don’t/didn’t have any plans to offering anything for the sequoia rears.

Fair. But it's pretty much the same vehicle. It might even work better for you since weight distribution is better

The fronts are the same. The rears are VERY different. The shock length is entirely different as are the mounts. The tundra has a top post and bottom eyelet with an extended length around 26”; the sequoia has a top and bottom eyelet with an extended length a little over 19”, but the top eyelet requires wide spacers. They are not in any way interchangeable.

Probably the same exact shock as the Tundra. Could call Eibach customer service to find out.

EDIT: Went on their website and I couldn't find anything for a Sequoia newer than 2007. What's up with that Eibach? I may call them on Monday just to find out. :D

I would reach out to Eibach themselves if i were you. Their customer service representatives are great folks.

As noted above, I reached out to them last year about the sequoia rear shocks and they had zero plans for introducing a set. I also perused their catalog with CS on the phone and we both came up with zilch. The closest we could find was from an odd year f250 but the eyelets weren’t compatible.

If this is indeed the case, I might actually hold off. I'd really prefer to have a matching set of shocks all around that were intended to function a particular way than hobble something together. I'm a mechanic, not an engineer.
