    or so the legend goes.

He's actually still around on Youtube. Released a Tijuana video of similar style recently.

C5's are hard to beat for the money, as far as RWD muscle cars go. Think they get pretty good hwy mileage as well. Might just be my dad swag, but 4 doors are more interesting to me these days. LS400,430, or 460's are pretty cool sedans with V8 drivetrains. Easier to find in good shape on the cheap. LS swapped wagon would be the obvious answer though. I love the old Mercedes wagons, but you don't see those swapped for some reason. Have seen a few Volvo's swapped, almost won one on bat recently!

Speaking of Corvettes, just had a new Prius as a rental car. Much better Toyota. Bravo.

When did we get so many Texan new bloods in here? I love it.

We should plan a mod meet. Beer and BBQ. Or just go to Hidden Falls and fuck shit up.

Hell yeaaaa. Love that video, it made me want a baja bug for a while there haha

I think it’s more of a long leg thing for me. I always bumped my knees coming in and out of the C8s.
Hahaha just 6’2. Again I think it’s just a long leg thing and being used to my C5 for me. I’ve driven a few at work, fun car, I just don’t fit comfortably.
Surprisingly I can get mid 20s out of the vette on the highway when driving normally and about 20 around town…. But who wants to drive a corvette slow :anonymous:

Hell yea for LS swapping a wagon! Those old Volvos look sweet. Can we get someone to LS swap a Tercel wagon :goingcrazy:

It's definitely not off the list. I'm after a 6spd coupe, any color but black. Never liked the look of the hardtop, so no z06s.

As cool as they are with v8s, its still a miata. I just cant do it. Ill drive a turbo minivan, a taurus sho, any other number of quirky cars, but the miata just has a stigma around it i cant get past. V8 or not.

Plus if i did it id have to put the 3.0 out of the SHO in it. Which is nearly impossible.

4 doors aren't necessarily out of the question, if it comes with a stick. I'm tired of cars shifting for me. I'm after something that's buy it and drive, with mods along the way. Or if I found an R63 AMG or something. I'd drive that auto.

I did find a few interesting cars last night:

That 09 is the cleanest golf I've seen. Needs lowered though.

Had a chat with the guy from the shoforum last night. All he asked about was rust on the one I drove all the time. Said it was from CA and wound up here. No rust at all. He said he'd buy em after I said that. Then we BS'd about SHOs for a while.

This guy is one of the few I know will see my vision through. He had the first documented turbo SHO. This will be upwards of the 60th SHOs for him. He owns one of the few 3.6 stroker motors. Just a cool dude all around. I know without a doubt they're in good hands. It'll be nice to have my driveway back again. Maybe I can start working on Ironman again.

A lot of people say they regret selling a car. Not this time. I regret selling my XRS. I regret selling my triple black 90 SHO. Not these 3. They deserve better than what I can provide. It'll be cool seeing what he does with them. Plus, I can go visit them when I go to the lake next year!

Congrats bro. That is a good feeling, knowing it's not just gonna sit, and will get some deserved TLC. And besides, Ironman needs that love, and I dunno about you, but when my backlog of projects gets too big, I tend to get in a rut and don't work on any-damn-thing.

That's exactly where I'm at. I think since Panhandlemonium, I've changed the tstat in Porkchop, put in my 15s, changed the radiator in the tree, and put in a new maf on Ironman. I just haven't done shit.

Looks like a damn egg on wheels. Reminds me of the '89 Lemans I had the unfortunate dishonor of driving after wrecking my '70 Impala.

I would've loved to put a 350 engine in my 81 Buick Regal when I lost a crankshaft bearing. Finding a shop that would do it was another story.
