I don't have any watches, rings, necklaces, or piercings. I don't feel a desire to change any of that either.

I've never broken a bone. Which honestly makes absolutely no sense. Only thing I can think of is that I have denser than normal bones? Lots and lots of stitches, pretty sure all material in-between all my bones is gone or jelly, but never so much as a fracture.

I used to wear a wedding band, and then psoriasis took hold and I can't wear anything anymore. Had a titanium citizens watch that just sits in a drawer now. Wedding band is only worn on special occasions and then I have a horrible scar from it for a month or two. Stupid genetics.

That's because cobalt is white metal. Looks like polished silver.
    They spray painted that shit.
    Can you buff it off?

I was actually thinking to get it recoated but that would cost almost as much as the ring.

Cobalt is pretty hard. Not sure what they could coat it with that wouldn't wear off.
There might be something,....but, like you said, any process that would last forever would probably cost more than a new ring.
I like the raw metal. It's not gaudy and it takes a beating. Only minor scratches that you have to look close to see.

Too many post to quote, so I continue the jewelry chat… haven’t worn a watch in probably 20 years. Cannot stand them. Stopped wearing my wedding ring 6 years ago when I started traveling for work. Gave me stress taking it into third world countries. It was a fidget spinner anyway that I’d drop all the time and that pissed my wife off, so she didn’t care. She knows I’m committed 110%.

Of all the useless, Cliff Claven shit I have in my head, metal coatings are not one of them.
I do know that "white" gold is just regular gold that's coated in palladium (I think).
Learned that from the wedding ring shit.
My wife's has had to be replated once ready.
Not sure what they would coat cobalt with.

Night shift window shopping has commenced. I need to get my ass on the bike more to really get a solid feel for it. If it's not usable for interstate travel I want to know ASAP, and then I have to decide if I want to sell/trade it, or get another bike. If I do, I know for sure I don't want a chain final drive. I despise chain cleaning. 90% sure I want the same kind of mid controls, though, so a shaft drive cruiser is probably off the table for me. Long story short, if it were closer, I'd be going to check this out on my days off.

    https://youtu.be/Q46A6RqYzm8

Little over 7K miles, has bars, luggage (i don't like hard cases), headlight guard, barkbusters, and who knows what else, and it's priced just under $10K.
