This extreme offset trend has it's advantages and disadvantages.

The disadvantages are that it is stupid looking. It also creates extra stress on suspension and steering components due to basic physics. Third, it throws rocks and debris not only on the moron's pickup, but anyone unfortunate enough to be passing by or following the moron. And lastly, it is illegal in most states.

The advantages are that it is an excellent visual indicator that the owner of a pickup running this sort of setup has absolutely no grasp of basic physics, common sense, or taste.

You can see from hundreds of yards away that someone with an IQ close to room temperature is approaching and that you need to be extra vigilant against random acts of stupidity.

Avoid any interaction with anyone that would do this to their vehicle.

This is a public service announcement that needs to be heeded.

You may now proceed with your regularly scheduled programming.

Ah, it's the 90s all over again. Extreme wheel poke. I'm waiting for low riders to be a mainstream thing again. I'm not sure what's dumber "Carolina squat", extreme wheel poke, low riders, "stance", etc. I guess all of them are equally stupid.

Done right, I like the extra wide look. The stretched sidewalls though kills it everything time.

I love when a$$hats like this try going across the very narrow bridge that is the only river crossing for 10 miles in either direction. There is no way they can stay in their own lane.

I’m not afraid to stop in the middle of the bridge, put it in park, and make them back up.

Thanks for information, gang. I'll remove spacers and get her back to stock.

Do you think it's ok to leave camber on mine like in this pic? I heard it improves fuel economy.

    Certainly less rolling resistance!

So I've always wondered, do they remount the tires and swap them side to side when that inside edge wears out?

At least it looks like you could actually off road in it. I hate the look when the rim edge sticks out further than the tire.

a few other things standing in ... for now.
I saw a murdered out 2500 Ram Cummins with this wheel treatment and moose antlers straddling down the interstate a couple of days ago. I shake my head each time I see one of these now after that video of the offset wheel coming off at speed on the interstate a few months back.

My Province seems to be a magnet for people with poor taste. Excessive poke, loud exhaust, stupid stickers (think “so scare” or “sorry about your neck”) and jacked up diesel trucks with barley enough room for a pair of rubber boots in the box are all too common.
Maybe I am just getting old.

I lived on Kauai for a couple of years. There are lots of reasons to stay away from Hawaii other than stupid auto mods, though discovering that it is common there does not surprise me, lol.

NC banned them a couple of years ago and just this past May SC has banned their use on the public road - the Carolinas have washed their hands of them. Mind you, I saw three of them in a local grocery store parking lot just last week so it'll probably take local plod about ten years to catch up and start booking them.
