Does the pro grill come with the light bar?

 

You must purchase it separately along with the 3 orange led trd bulbs at the top of the grille.

 

And then you have to wire them into the switch panel?

What's with the MTS switch? Was it already wired for it? And did you already have the Crawl feature?

Won’t get crawl. But you get deep snow, sand, mud, etc under mts. Changes a bunch of setting. Also makes it look more complete imo.

 

I'm really confused though. Did you have to change computer settings or what? As far as I know the platinum doesn't come with mts as an option. 1794 does but only if you get the OR package. What am I missing?

 

Just swap the switch. Most of it is just changing traction control/pedal sensor and sensors. Crawl needs a locker so it doesn’t work.

 

So what happens if you select crawl lol? Does it eject the passenger?

 

Nothing. Doesn’t respond. I’ll double check, as I installed it. Had a CEL, which cleared after leaving the truck off a bit and back on. Did a quick drive to test to make sure all my drive modes worked still and the new ones.

Just waiting on the correct TRD Pro “Tundra” grille.

 

I love these so much. Early on, it seemed to be difficult to get the right parts in. Lots of stories with the wrong side in the box being shipped. Hopefully that's been resolved. Has wiring gotten any easier?

 

@Black widow TRD, did those flare lights get wired to the running lights or blinkers? Is there a separate trigger or they come on with the other parking lights?

There are a few threads about installation, and from what I've read, most tap into the rear running lights so they come on with the other lights. And also, I've read that they did finally get the wrong part being sent corrected. I bought a TRD grill off a guy that had swapped his flares out for the TRD Pro ones, and he had received 3 rear left ones before they finally sent the correct one.

 

That sounds like a great trip! Are you heading West to pickup the Bigfoot? Watch out for the fires along the way. They are pretty bad right now.

 

To confirm... You changed the oil yourself twice because Toyota only does this at 10k intervals?

I’m sure they are wired to the turn signal. They shop that installed and wired these asked me how i wanted them wired. I asked em to go with the turn signal, so the leds would flash along with the turn signal.

Yes Toyota got their shit together, no more mixed up flares… on all other note though, they mixed up my TRD grille. I received the Sequoia grille instead of the Tundra grille. Thanks to the help of the awesome members of this forum I was able to figure it out.
