5vz on a Tundra even supercharged doesn't hold a candle to a 2uz. However a supercharged 1GR 6spd Tundra would have 305hp/335tq at the crank which would be more than the vvti 2uz by 34hp/10tq at the crank.
V6 is the only way to get a manual from the factory in a first gen Tundra unfortunately

 

You should have somehow directed it more at the Gen 3 owners..
They are the most fun and easiest Gen group to offend..

 

Between the two of us, we currently own every Gen Tundra so maybe we could do a Q&A to help @Baller understand the nuances of each model.

As a bonus, we could demonstrate what proper trash talk looks like.

 

I couldn't care less what "generation" any of these trucks are. I judge them based on whether it's a real truck with an 8' bed, or whatever other metrosexual shit they make.

 

As a Gen 3 owner, I can’t argue with this. Some of those guys are defensive as hell.

 

I like the idea, but it sounds alot like work.

 

We do have a responsibility to give back to the community.

Well, no. I guess it can't, because we still end up with shitty threads like this. Fine. Here's a start:

First Gen: Perfect size, adequate power, dated tech, some issues here and there as noted above, getting old and hard to find parts for, frames often rust out, aftermarket is limited

2 and 2.5 Gen: Bigger and more comfortable, lots of power, cam tower leaks, low payload, no underseat storage in the crewmax, lots of aftermarket stuff available.

3rd Gen: Still big but a smaller feel to the cab, loads of power and torque, no tow hooks, new model growing pains,

 

1st Gen has ash trays.

All have shitty stereo systems. (Assuming on the 1st gen since I haven’t heard theirs. Regardless, 8-tracks are tough to find nowadays.)

 

There’s one feature best gens have that no other Tundra does. The turbo-Goochcooler 9000.

i never have to haul more than 1 person at a time. And if i do, they usually opt to ride in the bed.

I remember the first time I saw a Tundra back when they first came out. Saw it in the back of the parking lot at work and thought,
"hmm, is that the new Dodge Dakota?"

 

People just need to stop growing at a sensible height.

 

To this day I'm sad they discontinued that color for the tundra. Army Green is cool and all, but I love a deep green with flake in it - especially on a truck.
