So I've been trying to research some na ways of gaining power, read through alot of the dirtydeeds posting and forums about exhaust systems and very little about throttle bodies and intake porting. Does any company make an aftermarket manifold? Thought I read somewhere that there's a better flowing lexus intake and tb that will fit the trucks. Was looking at doing and intake, intake manifold,tb, and exhaust. Anyone ever port our heads for more airflow, I've heard that's a weak area. I've also seen prospeeds fuel system and would probably add that or a similar system. I come from building ls and small block engines and those are all easy power adders. 6.0ls cam, heads, intake, open headers and some porting 470whp before spraying.

I've actually decided that n/a will be my route. However, the costs of getting more n/a power aren't that much different than the cost of a supercharger. Long tube headers with high flow cats, dual exhaust, a custom OTT tune, an injector upgrade (flow rate TBD), possible fuel pump upgrade. airbox and filter upgrade or at very least SABM, possibly throttle body and intake tube, IPT HP trans valve body, 5.29 differential gears, power trax grip pro LSD, MSD coil packs, Banks pedal monster, and more are some of what I'm looking at. Quite a bit of power can be had, but it isn't cheap. Let's see what others here think, and good luck with your search.

Top row is NA. Stage 2 = +40hp for 4k.

    - S&B Filters air-intake system
    - American Racing Headers 1.875" primary ID long- tube headers with high-flow catalytic converters
    - OEM Toyota exhaust manifold gaskets
    - HP Tuners or VF Tuner credits
    - Custom dyno calibration

I doubt NA will benefit much from the Lexus TB and larger intake if at all. According to ProSpeed an intake restriction is only showing up on Harrop builds that are running smaller 80mm pulleys on their blowers.

The fueling system you mention is probably overkill for NA if necessary at all. I may be mistaken but the stock injectors with an upgraded fuel pump only get close to maxing out on blown engine with a base pulley.

As far as headers go, I can't remember who chimed in about JBA having a larger diameter where all the others are set up for a stock size exhaust.

    Too many, but not enough....
Dirty deeds exhaust was really noticeable for me in mileage, grunt and sound. I would say it's the best power mod for the cost. Obviously gears would be the best followed by headers, then tune then at that point I would probably talk myself into a supercharger anyway

Agreed. Was just sharing what the potential cost vs. Potential gains and what that shopping list looked like.

I can’t believe how much cost have gone up. When I did LT, CAI and dyno it was probably half that for a Silverado SS. Granted that includes install but still. This is why I stopped modding 6k lbs bricks. Cost to HP/TQ was getting to not make sense. Yeah it was fun, till someone flew by you. I have fought a time or two about buying a TVS 1900 but @$7600 is just a tab but high. Once again, I remember the $4-5k TVS days.

As of now my Tundra is NA..I have 4.88 gears. Stillen intake, Carvin exhaust ant tuned by Ott. I think with the added weight of my lift and tires the tune and gears made the most difference...I an now in the process of getting a Supercharger so we will see. I debated going to a Diesel but that would be an additional 20k expense and that's for a stock truck that I know I would need to modify.

For Diesel, seems Chevy is the only manufacturer that figured out how to do it correctly. Ford and Ram discontinued their Diesel run.

I wasn't really expecting anything with my 12" dirty deed exhaust. But it was very nice surprise it feels slightly quicker and the mpg has improved, 1200 mile hunting trip 80mph 4 adults bed full of guns and camping gear, I was getting 17.5 to 18mpg. Going from Denver to Pampa TX which is right at 400 miles running 85 octane averged 21mpg.

Agreed, I know almost any exhaust mfg says it adds power, but with Keiths systems, not only did he dyno prove it but i actually noticed the low end grunt immediately when I drove it. I can say comfortably I get a consistent 1 mpg improvement all around and more when its a steady highway cruising speed. Very happy with it.
