I am not a body panel expert, or apprentice. I have two issues I would like to address.

    1) my tailgate is too high. It makes opening and closing a pain when the tonneau is on. Can it be adjusted down? I assume it would be in the pins but don’t see a way to move them.

    2) drivers door rubs on fender down low. The gap gets noticeably bigger as you look at the upper part of the door.

Looks like your bed is tweaked inwards on both sides.

    No it isnt.

It looks more like tailgate plastic caps are out of whack. The gap between the gate and sides seems decent, what's visible in the pic anyways.

You can tell tailgate cap is sitting higher, not flush. The sides are tied down because they have rails attached.

If you were to remove all those plastic caps, you'd see everything is fine.

I tried removing the tailgate plastic cap as my tailgate is bent from I assume a poor loading experience from the previous owner, thought it may be the culprit, but nothing appears to create that result. I may loosen the toneau clamps and see if the bedside plastic goes up to be flush.

:hattip:Yes, correct. That is plastic deformed. Follow the metal part of the frame. The gap stays consistent on both sides.

you are correct. Removed the cover clamps and the plastic lifts right back up to level with tailgate.

I was able to slide a single wood shim under each side. It helps but with the clamps tightened again it’s still a bit off. When I get more time I’ll take the cover off completely and figure out how to remove the bed side plastic covers and see what I can do to shim them up so the clamps don’t distort them so much.
