Need to strip paint remnants from RCI and Valhalla's skids, treat the rust, repaint them properly and put back on the truck.

We got Colorado for 3 weeks and had a lot of playing. I suck at pictures while I drive so I did not get many. Was the first time out since putting on the 37’s. I had a little rubbing in the rear on the plastic in one edge and that was it. A lot of mud in some places and one looked like it was pure black and it was nasty thick. The Tundra did fine and so did the 4Runner until the nasty mud. I could not get my wife through it spotting her so I drove it and got through the first time. Always fun times out there.

Just a random shot of the truck with my passenger in tow, her name is Kota

I know there’s plenty of threads out there on lifts, but just wanted to get a general feel for options for the 2.5 gen from this group. Is a 3/2 level lift the best way to go to keep handling good? 5100’s or Fox?

Has anyone pulled the trigger on a level/lift, or decided against? What did you decide on and are you happy with the results?

    thanks!

Reading through those threads is gonna be your best bet. Cliff's notes here will be a couple people with varying opinions on the same or varying experiences. Your using words like "best" and "good" which are subjective and everyone's definition for those are different. General consensus is no spacer lifts, the more you spend on the shocks, the better they are. 5100's are cheap, but the best bang for the buck. Fox, King, Higher end Bilstein's are all better. But in their own way, and it depends on what your trying to achieve. Good handling is different depending on who you ask. Like a racecar? Like a Cadillac? Like a trophy truck?

I went with a 3/2" Readylift (spacer lift). I'm very happy with it. I'd do it again if I had to do it all over.

I went that direction mostly because I'd heard people liked them and also from cost perspective. The lift cost me about $200 and I installed it myself. If money were not an issue, I may have tried to go with a coiler or something different.

Thanks for the feedback. any pics?

What is the main concern people have with the spacer lift, that obviously you’re happy with?

I think I sat on mine for a month and it wasn't so bad until after I got to drive the truck - then I'd wondered how I waited so long

My assumption is the spacer lifts aren't well-liked or don't perform well for the off-roading crowd. If you're an off roader (more than just trails), I think spacer lift is probably not the way to go. My truck mainly stays on the asphalt and concrete. I tow my boat with it. Occasionally (extremely rare), I may go on a trail with it or out in a pasture or other light weight off road.

I've heard people don't like the way the spacer lift handles but I have only noticed very little difference from stock and most of that difference came after I put new wheels and tires on, not after the spacer lift. I did a spacer lift, drove on stock wheels/tires for a couple years and then put new wheels and tires on.

Both images below are after the 3/2" lift. First one is stock wheels, second is aftermarket.

Nice set up, like the bronze on white look. What size are you running? Any rubbing?
