    Good friend of mine is losing the cancer fight and is trying to sell his 4Runner. 1989 with the removable top. Needs a new gas tank (comes with it), new fuel pump (comes with it), new lines, and brakes. Should start right up. He’s asking $2000. Vehicle is in Austin. Let me know if you are or someone you know is interested. I’ll get some pictures as soon as I can.

    First off, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I wish them the best and hope things don't go the way they seem.

    Do you have pictures of the vehicle and some more info?

    All stock. My buddy is second owner as it was his dad’s. Unsure on miles. I’ve asked him for some pictures of it.

    1st Gen 4Runner. 2 Door, Removeable Top. Overall great truck.

    * Clean Title in Hand
    * 22RE 4 Cyl Fuel Injected
    * 4WD
    * 5Speed manual transmission
    * 31 x 10.5 All Terrain tires
    * Roll Bar
    * Cold AC (A must in Texas)
    * 199,xxx,xxx Miles
    * New Gas Tank and Fuel Pump in boxes
    * Power Rear Window works
    * Clear coat is peeling, paint is faded
    * Some slight surface rust but minor
    * Needs Brake Booster and Master Cylinder

    I've owned this truck since 2005. My intentions were always to fix it up to my dream 4x4. Life always happens when I decide to start the project. Well now is no different. Life has thrown me a curve ball that I can't hit. I have to finally let my baby go, hopefully to someone that will take it to the next level and enjoy it.

    Located in N. Austin. Email me if you are seriously intrested.

    Sorry to hear about your friend, cancer is an awful thing. Best wishes and prayers for peace and comfort either way things turn out. My best friend and best man at my wedding lives in Texas and is going through the same thing, colon cancer. He's still in the fight though, visiting him here soon in a couple of months.

    Good luck with his sale.

    He’s beat colon cancer years ago and then a month or so ago they confirmed it’s in his liver and he’s moving to hospice. Only 55. I wish I had the room to buy it and get it running. We’ve talked about it for years.

    So sad, 55 is far too young. Hope you have shared great memories together. Hospice is a great thing, my Grandpa went to hospice a few years ago and my Mom (61y/o) recently, they were amazing and he will be in good hands. Do him a favor if the opportunity presents, whether you believe or not, pray over him and ensure he knows/accepts Jesus, hands down best gift you can give him.

    Talked it over with my wife and I’m gonna buy it. Turn it in to a fun weekend cruiser and do some light wheeling.

    Hell yeah! If you've got the ability, have your friend help you get it fixed up.
