I'm not picky but Sedona would be at the top of the list. Sadly I don't have $1M laying around. I liked Flagstaff too.

Really? I know when we looked the houses in Sedona were more expensive. Maybe Flag makes up for it in other categories. I can't touch home prices in either city now. Maybe before COVID.

I'd never tolerate the traffic congestion in Sedona. Hate it.

That reminds me that I need to visit my cousin and his family in Silver City, NM soon. Supposedly it’s nice there from what he’s sent me.

These are the smoothest tires we ever had on our GM lambda SUV. Soooo quiet too.

My plan was to go when my work wants me to goto White Sands, but for some reason it’s always during the middle of summer when nobody wants to go there.

It is but I don’t think it’s more than a 1/2 day drive. I’d probably just delay my return trip and stay for the weekend if I go.

It is though. In SoCal there are numerous routes. In Sedona, there's basically a big Y and getting to the opposite tip of any branch requires either fighting all the tourist traffic, or leaving town and traveling around. I've experienced weekend traffic in Sedona that took 50 minutes to get through about 5 miles. No collisions, just ridiculous vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

It's the same with the valley floor in Yosemite, numerous other world-renowned locations-- it would suck to live there and have outsiders constantly fuck it up.

As for SoCal, I also hate traveling through LA, but, lucky for me, San Diego Co. isn't nearly as bad.

Sandy ego kinda reminded me of PHX traffic, which I haven’t drove in 6 years, but I did good and didn’t let myself get pushed around.

Yeah, beach traffic is more specifically f'd up than "regular" SoCal traffic. Not enough parking, one lane in each direction, pedestrians and bicycles and dogs and homeless camps and people pulling shopping cart Winnebago's everywhere.

For sure, especially weekend traffic, other than that, not terrible.
Hahah but we went on a Walmart adventure and ended up close to Imperial beach, hahahahah I didn’t want to argue with directions or where w closer one was, so I just kept driving south!!! And then they didn’t even have hamburger meat!!! Thankfully a homie had us covered! But headed back north the other side was starting to get loaded up.

I've thought about Prescott, but big $$. Surprisingly, we are interested in Cottonwood, Not much cooler than here, but it reminds me of Tucson back when I was younger (you know, the 1800's) Big enough to have everything you need like a Walmart, Home Depot, Safeway, etc, but still a small town. Tucson is getting almost to the cluster fuck big status that Phoenix is and I kinda hate it.

I’m thankful my job keeps me super close to home. Mama bear could walk if need be. So for me it’s still that kinda feeling, my kids schools are even closer. My mom is trying to get a cabin on Lemmon, that would be super dope!!!! But so far it’s been unfruitful….. I hope she asks me to do some stuff up there!!!! Sure I’ll be there for 3 weekends to complete the job

She has a new knee, but hasn’t rehabbed it the best, and a lot of them are on some SLOPES!!! She seemed pretty adamant about it and I love her plan taking the boys in the summer for a few weeks at a time up there!!!

I told my coworker in Phoenix that we liked Flagstaff and she said it's overrated. If you live in Satan's asshole, you can't say Flag is overrated.
