Also bowling, super fun! Haven't been forever. I saw that alley in Flagstaff and thought about seeing if people wanted to go, then realized people probably don't want to when they're on a camping trip hundreds of miles away from home.

 

Daygo is okay as long as you don't overdo it, but never once in my life have I heard someone refer to San Diego as 'Diego'. TF?

Sandy Eggo is acceptable, a long time ago one of the local radio stations gave out shirts that had sand, eggs, and an O on them with pictures. My dad had one of them, think it came from a Padres game.

This guy parked behind me and we chatted it up for a good half an hour. Super nice guy, he let me climb into his GFC and gave me his thoughts and advice. Used to be Harry Wagner's Tundra, that's kinda neat too. Would love to have a LT tundra like the pair above but I'm definately hoping to have something more like this one below sometime soon

I've gone to a couple of those, on Katella in Anaheim, right? I didn't go saturday but I know it was a good one. 3 year anniversary. The flex ramp is cool to watch.

They got the whole crew out here finally. They charged my poor neighbor $2,700 for tree limb removal. Took them 2 hours.

 

The minute any tree guy says "bucket truck", the price doubles. That was probably a $1,350 job until they added the bucket truck. Told my neighbor this recently, she didn't believe me, her $3,500 tree removal came out just shy of $7k. Lots of other fun charges a lot of places figure up. Like, base crew is typically 3 people, for each added guy, price goes goes up 50%. If you request limb/debris removal, price goes up 50%. If they need to remove anything like fences to get access, always a surcharge for that too, but you get nothing if they damage stuff.

Good Stihl 16" chainsaw runs $450 or if you need it, a 20" is $750. Good maul runs you $100.

Really at the end of the day, I'd hafta tackle the job myself, I just couldn't see forking out nearly $3k for that.

 

Yep same spot. I’d say it was maybe 3 or 4 times as big as it usually is this past weekend. It was pretty good.
Lots of action on the flex ramp. There was a buggy with rear steer that walked his front and rears up and down it without much effort. Then 4 guys ended up flexing on top of one another on top of the ramp. That was pretty sweet

 

I'm in agreement but I don't know how I would have safety removed the limbs they got with a bucket. There were huge limbs that were hanging(still partially attached) which had to be surgically removed. My neighbor is in his 60's and not in the best shape so I guess he weighed his options and figured it was worth it to pay someone. I could have helped him with some of it but I knew he was ultimately going to need a tree crew for the rest.

 

How high up was it? I'm not afraid to toss on some climbing gear and shimmy up a tree.

 

20 feet or more. And they were BIG. He said the tree lost enough limbs that it may not survive.

 

Was it safe to fell up there? Y'all aren't in city limits and/or don't have a tree code like we do in ATL, do you?

 

It was safe to work on it from a bucket. I would not have felt good climbing up it. About the only thing I considered was trying to pull the limbs down with my truck and two tow ropes.

I'm in the county. We don't have green waste pickup so anything like that has to be hauled away for my neighbor.

I throw our green waste over my fence into our Pit of Misery. Dilly Dilly!!

 

I've been to an event once with the flexi ramp, but I didn't do it because I still had stock leaf packs with AALs and my front sway bar. Next time I wanna try it out.

 

That's a damn good price, a tree like that over here will set you back about $5500-6000 through one of the cheaper places. That's a weird one too, Eucalyptus?

 

I spent 2 days clearing dead limbs out of my trees, and i didnt charge myself anything. Bow saw & ropeless climbing like a champ.

 

Burn like a MF'er too. That bark is like rocket fuel.
