Do you have the results on long term storage with Ethanol?
All research I have done on treatments and stabilizers including 360- Stabil Protection show Ethanol gums up all engines if left long term, even if treated.
The best experiment I have come across online is this one.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWL7p0Pnb8Y&t=1640s

Many brands tested on parallel engines after 19 months.
They all failed including Sea Foam.
Only one of the engines ran and did not get gummed up - 93 octane No Ethanol Gas No treatment.

I understand about the mileage thing, however since 90% of my driving is 75 on an interstate, the fuel savings really do seem to be 25% I'm seeing. It's substantial, I know that. I am very surprised and happy with it.

As for the towing - my point of reference was towing on interstate, 95 degrees out and humid as hell, car full of kids and gear too. It was definitely cutting power (3.5 EB). The 3.4 Tundra last summer when it was fairly new, same trip, maybe 90 out but was just as humid, didn't cut power one bit or need to downshift. I think the Tundra cooling is better, when you pop the hood on both, the Tundra sure had a ton more open area for cooling things down. So it makes logical sense to me.

Don’t know man, may have been low on coolant or something. I tow my much bigger boat with truck full off gear in 100 degree heat and NC humidity.

I stored a car with about half a tank of E10 for over 2 years and had no issues with it. Just put some fuel stabilizer in the tank and ran it for 5 minutes or whatever they recommend to help mix it.

How old was the car? What year? Fuel Injected or Carbs?

Older car fuel systems were not built for Ethanol. It destroys the fuel lines and other fuel system parts.
You can see in that video that even the motor with Stabil 360 ran good but when he took the carb bowl off their was jelly everywhere.
The Jelly was also on the column leading up the hole where the gas goes through.
    But hadn't blocked it ...yet.
One of the biggest problems with boats is when the rubber fuel line starts disintegrating on the inside. Engine starts and runs but when you try to run it full throttle it bucks and wants to die. Not enough gas.
Blockage from disintegration of the line. Just maybe one problem.

Fuel injected. Didn't realize the question related to older carbureted vehicles.

My dad only runs ethanol free in his boat to keep from gumming up the fuel filter.

It affects all vehicles more so older ones.
The question was followup on an earlier discussion with Bannerman about boats and the importance of using 93 Octane Ethanol free.
Well I did not realize he was lucky to run his boat year round. 8^0
There is no more Ethanol Free gas in Canada or the US not even in the premium gas.
    This is federal decision.
    Not even out west.

    https://www.calgarycoop.com/our-stories/transition-to-e10-ethanol-blended-gasoline/

So if you have anything that you store over the winter that you used to put premium gas Ethanol free in before. It now contains Ethanol too. This was a surprise to me when I found out a couple months ago.

I read that story a few days ago...... Pretty interesting! I have a set of brother and sister in-laws that went all in with 2 Tesla's and their story is very similar. Tesla is better than the rest in the electric world, but still has issues and when they have issues they are expensive!!!!

The tundra cooling system is for sure better. Ecoboosts cooling has always been undersized and was absolutely terrible in the 2011-2014 trucks. They spec the bare minimum to pass SAE J2807

The tundra does make more low end than the F150. Its 479 at 2400 rpm whereas the F150 was always peaking at ~3000.

The SR makes its peak torque at 2000 rpm but its the same as the higher trims, they just artificially cap the SR there at 406 and dont let it keep climbing to the full 479.

its all in the tuning though. My 2014 Ecoboost was making over 500 ft-lbs at 2000 rpm with a tune. I could pull some hills in 6th gear at 2000 rpm

You know, if the manufacturer and government ever get their acts together on what they sell for and the rebates, and find a sweet spot for the average buyer. I’d probably be an ideal candidate for one of these Electric trucks. The daily runner is a 4Runner and I use my Tundra to haul stuff and travel between my house and cottage. Spring through Fall. I could put a charger at my house and the cottage. The distance between is 1 ½ hrs about 125 kms and I travel when no traffic. So “theoretically” there should be no charging anxiety. The Lightning could be capable with a lift but the prices right now make no sense. I also never buy on the bleeding edge; I am biased as I used to provide consulting to bleeding edge companies. Right now the vehicles and the charging networks if you are going to be using them, are both bleeding edge.

    edit**
but its going to have to be a hell of a deal.
I just got back. I consider the engine in my old mule an engineering marvel.
Imagine if it had like a 8 or 10 speed

It looks like a monstrosity so I have to assume they put the decimal in the wrong place. Should be $26,792.

Imagine trying to park that thing. It’s ridiculously wide and long. parking my 157” wheelbase F150 is enough of a pita.

Got about 30 mins into my drive to trade the raptor for a crv. Turned around and came home. Just couldn’t do it. Is it weird to get like I’ll over trading something in? 10+ times in the last 2 years I’ve never had it happen.
