You're all good. It's both my Wednesday and my Friday.

 

I'm too beat up these days to be able to enjoy something like that without suffering for it for a week after and having to eat pain pills so I can go back to work the next day.
I should've done it when I was younger, when I had that kid dumb luck.
If I tried it now, I'd bet that something would go wrong and I'd live through it, just to end up in a wheelchair. And I know damn well my wife would go out with her friends and leave me sitting in a dirty diaper.
The only gliding going on these days is in the bathroom every morning.

 

IDK, man. Take some vacation so you have recovery time and mark it off the bucket list. Life's short. Don't miss out. Honestly, talk to @FlyingWolfe and she might be able to get you into the right frame of mind and offer advice for doing it in a beat up and broken state.

 

@NWPirate beat me too it. No-Li has been a staple in Spokane for a long time and has some of the best local beers I have had. If you are into mountain biking, Beacon Hill is an awesome spot, but outside of that I choose to live in Idaho even though I work in Spokane for a ton of reasons. CDA is beautiful and the boardwalk is a great place. There are also lots of breweries and good places to eat right there on Sherman Ave. in downtown CDA. Crafted is pretty good food wise and has over 50 beers on tap. Fire also has some really good wood fired oven pizzas.

 

Come up and i’ll hurl you off a mountain. Its fun. I have a herniated L5-S1, knee surgery, shoulder rebuild, still going (23 years). We have a 76 and 84 year old still flying. You’ll be fine.

 

It's my Monday and a Thursday. I could get used to a 2 day work week.

 

Dude, forgot to tell ya we had smash burgers from The Fixx in Post Falls the other day. Damn good!

 

If it'll still pay the bills, this sounds like the way to go.

 

Damn! Next time your in that area let me know. That is like 5-10 min from my house. Wouldn't have worked out this time though as we were in Boise until Tuesday of this week.

 

Would work until I burned up all my vacation . Back to the grindstone next week I guess.

Seriously though, I've had the typical back issues for 20+ yrs. Never slowed me down. The problem now is the neck is bad and that's a whole different ballgame for me. Not being able to tilt my head back or limited side to side swivel action, 4 bulging discs, random arms going knumb, random dropping stuff, headaches and probably 5 other things that I haven't connected yet. Oh, and the pain. That kinda sucks a little.
I'll come and visit. You'll probably still wanna hurl me off a mountain.

Could always dope-on-a-rope and paraglide instead. Easier on the back and neck. Husband and I havent converted to be biwingal yet because hg and powered aviation are mental enough without a third aircraft type thrown into the mix.
