go for the westcott or CBI, those were my first choice but the extra cost was the reason I didnt go for em.

Looks like Westcott does not fit either. CBI appears to be the only company claiming fitment for the Crewmax 6.5' configuration.

I'm just here to cry about the fact that I can't buy sliders for a crewmax long bed. I tried talking rci into it and they said they don't get enough people asking. Then I tried talking Wescott into it and they also said they don't get enough people asking. Being that the long box is even more prone to needing a slider than a shorter wheelbase. I'm gonna need every one that wants long bed sliders to decide which company they want it from and team up and be really really annoying calling and emailing whichever company it is until I can buy a set. I dont get why no one wants to sell me something exspensive. Just extend the sliders by a foot and take my money.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
CBI is running a 10% off sliders sale.

Do you have a picture or have you seen them on a crewmax long bed? I keep hearing that they aren't really long enough?

What part of the country are you in? It’s not completely unheard of getting a set of custom sliders fabricated. People do it all the time on the older yotas.

If it were all my decision, I probably would. Not worth the hell my wife would raise if we couldn’t afford the sectional she wants though

Will try to get a measurement tonight. It’s sturdy and plenty of room for my foot. Takes a minute to get used to it though because I had my OEM predator drop steps on for over a year. These require my to step up a little higher than I’m used to.

I am in Wyoming an hour north of Cheyenne. for my gen 2 i ask about getting a set made and TNT in Cheyenne said $1200 and i thought that was awesome. for this truck i went back to them and they told me $4000 minimum because "things have gone up" i laughed so hard at them i sharted. i would love to get a set made if you know of a place to talk too. if not ill try my hand at it very soon. our town plows all the snow into these terrible ice walls and in the past its happened that someone driving my truck thought to just made a turn right through it and collapsed the back door in. im just trying to avoid that this winter really.

Custom seems the only option if you have the 8' bed, but the $4k quote would've had me doing some laughing in their faces; that's just highway robbery. $4k buys you a bumper and winch and then some if you do it right... welcome to 2023 I guess, if someone pays it, it's not stupid so......

    Lots of stuff!
I went through this as well. I started off wanting sliders but then when I looked at adding another 100 lbs to the Tundra and the lack availability, I went and made some pretty solid running boards. I also thought about needing sliders for rock crawling and can't see the Tundra in that application.

The challenge is the rear connection and the frame changes so there are lots of design challenges for a rigid slider. I made a mount that connects to the side of the trailing arm mount at the frame. Not only does it look proper but it super stiff and allows better access to the front of the bed.

If you don't need sliders perhaps this is an option. Mine are powder coated stainless steel with steel brackets that are also powder coated. Cost much less than a slider would and only add ~25 lbs to the truck.

Rci 0 degree with kick out and top plate. Ordered before I picked up my tundra because I had them on my taco.

    3" lift. 35s.
Anyone got pics of the CBI sliders on theirs yet? They look pretty nice on the website, but they always do lol.

Looks like they just opened up a shop in SoCal and could save a few bucks on the shipping with pickup...

I got the RCI sliders for $1450 (powedercoat and top plate)on the short bed tundra pro, very happy with them. Although the powder coat easily scratches.

Are there any angled up sliders - like how true sliders should be not just danglers on the side as pretty much overkill side steps?

I’m new here, but a long time Land Cruiser guy. I’m surprised no one here has mentioned the Slee Offroad formed sliders. They are by far the best engineered for real trail use, and use a far more robust 4-step coating process. The penalty for their superiority is weight and cost. That said, if you’re going to actually be dragging your truck over rocks, there are none better.

Yeah, most guys here seem to be looks over function. In real trail conditions, any sliders that do not mount around the entire frame will be ripped off (Westcott, RSI, etc.). I do agree there are others that are prettier, but none come close to Slee in terms of engineering and durability.

Ok. Looks are definitely subjective, but you can have both and these look more like steps from Autozone. Anyone who pays a $10K premium for TRD Pro trim cannot convince me they aren't more concerned with looks than function. That being said, I'd never argue with a LC guy about Slee products, I know better than that LOL.

Haha. I’m not religious about it, and it seems like most folks in this forum don’t use their trucks for gnarly stuff, which makes sense. In that regard, the pretty sliders that aren’t as robust make sense, because they’re so much lighter and generally cost less. My original point was that I was surprised no one had even brought up the Slee product (but again, likely the audience - not wheelers).

I’ve got a set from CBI for CM 6.5 on order… allegedly will be here end of sept. I really like the Rocky Road stuff, with the rear kick out, but they need a truck in person. Maybe check them out?

I'm curious to see if these extend past the cab to the rear wheels.

If they don't and are actually used as a slider, it will likely result in some pretty significant body damage.

Here they are. Delivered at 1030, in by noon.
    71796856711__81F17E2D-81FB-4854-91F2-B7D554B76312.jpg 71796498833__E00D5454-1521-4BF8-B20D-BCC3AD4F3655.jpg

Too bad they don’t go to the rear wheel, but after being under there, I don’t think it will be easy to find a stable rear mounting point. This may be as good as it gets. They were fairly straightforward install, seem very sturdy, and the finish is excellent. Packaging was excellent as well, no scratches on the powder coat. I’m satisfied enough- if I get a wild hair I’ll do some welding and create a rear kick out and figure out how to tie it into the frame.

    Thanks for sharing!

i do think they look good and i also would like if they went all the back mostly for keeping rocks off the paint. I think it will work better than the sheet metal running boards that i have. i might just order a set if nobody makes the proper length soon. those would work just fine for me.

Thanks again for sharing, great looking truck.
