    Hey all,

Had an issue yesterday while driving back home from camping (no trailer). When braking around 45-60 I would feel the steering wheel vibrate quite a bit. A lot of this was on the highway and it felt like it was coming from the front passenger wheel.

When I got back in town I would try to replicate the issue after I unloaded the truck, but I am not having the issue anymore. I have tried feeling around each of the rotors (without taking the wheel off), but I can’t pinpoint anything obvious. There are a couple of spots on the front drivers rotor that looks like some rocks got in there. I don’t know if this is the culprit since it doesn’t look at deep (see pic below).

What else should I be on the lookout for? Want to see what I can do before spending money on new brakes and rotors. The truck has just 49k on it

    TIA!!!

Warped rotors will cause that. I went through this on my 2013.

Did you check the condition of the brake pads? Those rotors are gouged for sure.

Steering vibration while braking usually means front rotors warped..Check your pads. At 49,000 you may need pads and rotors..if not done previously..

Definitely looks like maybe you had some foreign debris get caught up against the rotor and that probably caused uneven braking momentarily. If you can't replicate it and all else looks & feels good, I'd not sweat it too much.
