These are the shortest discount tire provides. They also gave me a handful of spares incase I ripped one and could easily rip it out and pull new one through.

Those look to be the same length as the Colbys I got. Rocks got me paranoid.

With the cap on the Coblys still have about 1/2" of valve showing:

    I ordered these ones:

My fake bead locks def keep the valve stem mostly out of harms way, and on the trail/offroad 4runner rims, they are tucked into a little recess as well.
I’ve also watched my rear wheels slide right into a rock, and I didn’t have much choice but to keep going. Nothings 100%

Ya but those are solid and don’t flex when hit by a rock.

Yeah, got a point. Maybe I should get ahead of this and sell these now while they’re still in decent condition :monocle: need to get the damaged one repaired/replaced.

Well.. it's official, I'm gonna sell these. Just got word back from Method Wheels that the damage does NOT qualify for warranty  They will not get my business again. So I'll just repair the damaged one with some JB weld and keep it as my "get me home spare." Will sell the other 4.

Will post on the marketplace for $1200.

Get yourself some nice chonky boiz like these and valve stems will be the least of your worries, plus you can use the wheel as an extension of your sidewall like God intended :D

I can't even find beadlocks for 5x150 with rings that big.

Trail Ready is the only one I'm aware of, and their beadlocks are all custom made so they can do whatever pattern and backspacing you want usually. They have three ring options, these are the "rock rings", which I'm a sucker for just since I think they stand out from all the other slim ring beadlocks out there.

The beadlocks on my UTV are KMCs and have a normal slim ring, and the valve stem is very (almost to the point of being annoying) receded into the spokes of the wheel so it's very protected. Your methods are actually the most out in the open valve stem I think I've ever seen, let alone for being marketed as an offroad wheel. Very odd.

And here is a thread on beadlocks if you're interested, has lots of options and pros and cons: https://irate4x4.com/threads/beadlock-wheels-out-there.100910/

Funny enough the only wheels I have ever bought are beadlocks, and three sets of those were Trail Readys (the FJ40 still has the original 15" set I bought) and then one set of the UTV KMCs. The Trail Readys are very cool and extremely stout and cast/machined in the USA. But their price has also jumped a ton in recent years. I would recommend scrolling through that thread, there are quite a few beadlock companies these days with different features/prices so something might turn you on if you decide to go the beadlock route.

I've always wondered about the durability of all these non-flexible valve stems. I guess you've answered that question. Thanks Cruz!

Glad to be of service! But now that I'm likely going to pull the trigger on those TR Beadlocks I just might put those Apex valves back on :p cuz they did work airing down hella fast.

Trust me I wanted my next wheels to be red too after seeing a white 4runner on 35s with red wheels. Looked badass until I seen a tundra with red wheels and that didn’t look the same. Some can pull it off, others can’t.

Maybe because the tires were not proportional to the vehicle? 35s on a T4R look big. Assuming the Tundra you saw had 37s or smaller?

Nope, cuz I have a different set of street legal wheels with 39s. The days I do have to drive to/from the trails with the beadlocks I still wouldn’t worry much.

If it doesn't start with at least a 4 just assume it's too small. And even then...

But I tell my wife if it starts with a 3 that's average :(
