Not questioning your motives, nor was I implying that you were guessing at anything. I don't know anything about bullydog's tunes, and don't have a need to know. I'm sure we agree on all the salient points. I just don't agree that the OP has a problem of such a nature that he needs to spend money trying to correct. I seriously doubt that installing a bullydog tune or any other tune will eliminate the deposits that result from burning gasoline. So we disagree on that point. And likely on that point ONLY.

In my 65+ years of working on my own engines, from big V-8s to small turbos to diesels and outboards, I've never suffered any kind of breakdown. Nobody has ever touched a vehicle that I've owned, except for things I don't have the equipment, knowledge or time to do, such as wheel alignment. But never the engines or transmissions.

Used to be that we had to occasionally wipe down the lead deposits on the rear of the car. Now it's just the deposits from the hydrocarbons and other additives that get burned in the process of moving us around.

Peace ..... we can disagree on some points without turmoil. No disrespect intended.

I never thought you were disrespecting me. Nor questioning my motives. My post was mostly to make sure newbies reading them knew what my company is about. And I agree, no tuner will stop the OP ‘exhaust stain’ from happening. It’s part of owning a full size v8.
