Sorry if this was the thread before but I’m curious has anybody had any issues trying to find a radiator protection for the new Trd pros. The grill is wide open and it leaves room for rocks and whatever else to smash the radiator. What have you guys used?

Don't worry, your a/c condensing coil, turbo intercooler heat exchangers will stop the rocks from hitting your radiator.

You can use a number of different mesh material out on the market and find creative ways to get it zip tied on.

    for example:
AggAuto 47"x16" ABS Plastic Universal Car Grill Mesh, Automotive Grille Insert Bumper Honeycomb Hole 7x15mm Hex Grids Black https://a.co/d/bSLekCb

Hold on, this is not a big cold natural aspiration V8 in there. Turbo engine needs lot more cooling, don't obstruct the grille in any way. Replacing A/C radiator is 3 orders of magnitude cheaper than the engine.

Protecting a vital part of the powertrain is nothing new. All the super cars and race cars I’ve been around all have some sort added if they’ve been around the block. I’ve seen busted radiator/intercoolers ruin days.IMG_2048.jpg

I've used fibreglass or polyester screen door mesh in the past. It's cheap, easy to cut and zip tie in place.

I have the same problem with my Vette C8, people say do not obstruct, but damn it is wide open! Makes me travel way slower and further behind than I would like.

Yes! Those vents are giant! Chevy has been kind enough to sell a solution for the small fee of $400 :spending:
