    I'm sure they do see higher profit margins on these trucks, but the way Toyota manufactures vehicles, they are extremely beholden to the supply chain. If one item is being produced at a slower rate then other, it will slow down the rest of the assembly for a given vehicle. You're not going to see hundreds of incomplete Toyotas sitting on a lot somewhere awaiting a part(s).
    At the same time, Tundras have never been produced in any sort of quantity to be competitive with domestic manufacturers. Even baking in a higher profit margin, they will never see the total Tundra net revenues anywhere near say an F150. Net revenue per vehicle is probably greater for Tundras than F150s, however. Probably.

    The dealers around here(UT) still seem to be at or over MSRP.

    I would imagine ford can build the trucks cheaper though due to volume, right? Their capital costs are being distributed over 4x as many trucks.

    And then there are a lot of parts shared with the Superduty as well.

    Well, I would too! I mean you see more than 10 posts of engines blowing up and stickers peeling off and turbos failing and seats cracking and steering lights going off and you start getting second thoughts...

    Sure you get "no problema" post here or there, but your brain is already fed with problem posts.

    Not sure on the sales up/down part here in the DC metro/NoVa area, there are a lot around; but the build quality isn't great and there are a lot of reported trucks going kaboom under the hood. I know all manufacturers have problems, but some things are just bad. Mine is at the shop now to get a few things checked and sorted out that shouldn't be happening at all, such as:

    - Drivers seat cushion cover just flapping in the wind (plastic groove that clasps onto the seat frame) totally cheap for what the truck costs
    - oil pressure varies during driving from 10-2 pretty normally and pretty sure shouldn't happen
    - Clunky driveline, specifically sounds like a UCA/LCA bolt or bushing is shot or something on parking lot bumps on up to highway speeds
    - rattling like a heat shield broke loose and is hanging on or similar.

    The motor issues people are having scare me and at this rate I might not even lift it and stay modular as I can camp/tent-wise, then turn it back in at the end of the lease and move on. Not to mention little things like the stupid infotainment shortfalls with one button, cup holders, console enormity, etc. Not pleased. I got better service with a 10yr old Lexus GX too compared to a new truck with issues at the Toyota dealer. Over it.

    23' SR5 OR Premium, under 6k on the clock.

    Tundra demand has always outstripped supply, even with the new model and expanded production capacity.

    Toyota is also far less reliant on full-size truck sales than the domestics.

    Nearly all GM and Ford global profits are from full-size truck and suv sales in North America.

    People saying these postings are 'trolls'--laughable! I have a 2020 sitting in the driveway where my Gen 3 '22 should be sitting if it weren't for all of the shitty problems! Disgusting!

    Is there a bot that keeps reviving this old thread? I get post notifications but they've both been from profiles that have been quickly deleted.

    @RyannPrince
    @BethanyDawson

    Both seem like Russian bot names that had their profiles deleted. We know what's going on. YOU'RE NOT FOOLING US TODAY, PUTIN! :rofl:

    Not for nothing but all you butt hurt tundra fan boys are quick to jump out and reveal yourselves. It took me like 2 secs to google Tundra sales to know this is a troll post and fake numbers. Some of you need not take some these post so serious. ITS A FREAKING TRUCK. It's not the end of your life when someone talks shit about your truck. But like others have said, it makes for good laughs. Keep on feeding the trolls.
