I got the full size one a while back. It’s one of my favorites.

I love a good knife thread!

I have too many knives to count, and a couple of cool ones. I appreciate a good knife and when I need to rely on my pocket folder, it is a Benchmade Griptilian Mel Pardue edition. Most days, however, I just need a little folder for opening packages at work, so I have a pile of those Walmart Ozark Trail $4 folders. They work great, and when I misplace one, it's no big deal.

For going into the woods and I need a serious knife, I carry an Ontario Rat 5 with a custom kydex sheath...

    IMG_20190122_132141949.jpg

I rescued this Ka-Bar from my dad's house after a bad fire. Still need to decide what to do with it...

I bought this Gerber BMF from the NAS Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange back in 1990 for use in the jungle. I haven't used it for decades and I've heard it's collectible, but it's just too cool to sell for a couple hundred bucks.

    IMG_20201021_170705879.jpg

Just gave this knife to my son; NIB Remington UMC bullet knife that I found in my dad's pickup.

I like knives, and I like all kinds of knives.

Found a hell of deal on bladeforums; it was just to much of a steal to pass up. So I’m the new owner of this:

Was able to score a Purgatory Ironworks Custom Coffin 5" blade made by Trenton Tye. Not expensive. $104. He uses leaf spring steel. His stuff doesn't come up often. Used knife oil first thing. Poured some inside the sheath too. Kuul beans!

Leaf springs (5160) are excellent steel for knives. This looks like a very comfortable and useful tool!

I've been taking it with me mushroom hunting but no freaking mushrooms up high yet. It only started raining up there this past weekend. Hopefully the afternoon monsoon's will kickstart mushroom season!

Our mushroom season starts right after the first week we get 2” of rain or more.
