Any big plans for either of you?

I'm going to tow the bike on the trailer to see a buddy and change the Taco's oil and put the fumoto valve and Jowett filter cap on in his driveway. Then we'll go on a solid ride on the bikes (he just got a new one and it's sweet) that should put the bike to it's first service. That will get done at the shop he got his previous bike from because they did extra good work for him, and I'll have them put the crash bars and skid on it. Mainly because they'll retorque all the mounts and such with the first service, so I'd hate to do that and then have to undo it all to add the bars. Then both will be good for another 5k miles. Should be busy but fun.

Sounds like a good time, hopefully you have good weather coming.

Water slides, RV service/inspection, night away with the wifey, birthday party & BBQ, Tesla Demo  and probably a lot of house/property maintenance sprinkled throughout!

Busy times and a night of gettin' busy too! Sounds pretty solid. I'd have to pass on the water slides though. Freak me out. LOL

    You need a RTT.

Have you considered getting a thermacell mosquito repeller?

I have now lol. In all seriousness yeah I have been thinking about getting one for a while I just haven't for some reason. Also I'm going to have to argue with you on the rooftop tent part. I do not think being three or four feet higher in the air makes a difference to the mosquitoes :p as for the booze, I didn't even make it through one full can:rofl:

Just make sure you read up and on the repeller. Not sure it's a good idea to sleep with it in the bed running.

The RTT suggestion was about your sleep quality, though it might help with the bugs. There are flaps you slide through to get into the tent, and that should make it harder for skeeters to follow. The door/tailgate of the truck is a big effin' hole for them to follow you through.

Bugs can find the smallest little openings to come through. When they installed my topper I had them install extra seals to help keep out water and dust and somehow there are still holes that the mosquitoes made their way in through so I will concede a rooftop tent would probably be better sealed. Maybe I'll just sleep next to a citronella candle, what's the worst that could happen

    LOL

Maybe look into some peppermint oil or something that you can use. I can't stand the smell of it, but if it doesn't bother you it is supposed to help keep mosquitoes away. If you ran the thermacell or burned the candle in the bed for 20-30 minutes before you went to bed in might be enough to save you.

Another option would be to put up some hooks in the shell and use a mosquito net around you when you sleep. Works for hammocks.

    This is a good plan.

I've had worse, but this hasn't been my favorite. Looking forward to days off, not looking forward to running around like a chicken with no head to get stuff ready today/tomorrow.

That varies for me. If it wasn't a beast of a day to get there I can usually do okay.

It would be the opposite for me. If we get there and do a big hike or something like that, I'll sleep better.
