Trailer probably weighs 5-6000# on its own. Then you put a car and tools in it? Gonna be strugglebus. Likely have a lot of tongue weight, likely be way over payload. It’s a big sail, so lots of sway. Empty would be ok, with a car will be 3/4 ton truck territory.

Going from the house to the track +/-20 miles each way or down the interstate across the country? How much is the truck modified? Any brake upgrades? What do the passengers weigh? What kind of elevations are involved? What gears are in the differentials? Etc. Lots of things to question.

Right? You look at your freshly minted "great idea" and go hmmmmmmmm, seems a little sketchy to me. Let me confirm with others before proceeding.

I would recommend RAS heavy-duty over airbags. The RAS system helps you leaf springs carry the weight better, airbags generally only load level

Doubt if the younger crowd would even know, just us aged few

I would not tow a 30 foot trailer with a 1/2 ton truck,,, that is just me though.

    Be Safe!:)

I used to tow a 30-foot freedom enclosed trailer with my crewmax. It was a V-nose and that helped immensely. Plus I only hauled shoes in it lol (it was a mobile shoe store). I had airbags and load range e tires but if I stuffed a car in there I wouldn’t do it.

I tow with a 2012 regular cab short box with 22" Black Rhino wheels and low profile streets, and pull a 29' RV (34'9" overall) dry weight 7400 lbs. (always travel with 1/2 tank of fresh water because I often boondock). I use a load-levelling anti-sway device with two 1,500 lbs. torsion bars. In addition, I have a Subaru 3200 watt inverter in the box, firewood, equipment, etc. I've towed a lot of RVs over the years, including a 30' RV that I pulled for 7 years in Canada and the US with a 2003 4x4 Durango with the 4.7 L (lovely engine). With the Tundra in this configuration I've never felt that I was overloaded, whether on divided highways or county roads. Great truck.
