2013 Sequoia Limited to TRD FAUX build now with BOOST!

Sending a 2k mile oil pull to Blackstone today. (2k on the SC, 2K on the oil) I always go slightly high & it has lost no perceptible oil so still full.

I pulled it out of the dipstick tube, we'll see if there is anything going on in there.

 

Firestone mounted the new tire, with weights that did not stick. I literally drove home (a mile at most) and had numerous hanging down. I removed the ones that were unattached & made an appointment for Yesterday (Sunday 7/30) at 8am when they opened. I drove less than 10 miles and when I got to Firestone they were all gone.

Guy said the alignment tech did not arrive until 9am but they wore rebalance the tire prior and the truck would be ready at 9:30. As I know they never meet the stated time I returned at 10. It was neither ready nor on the alignment rack.

Why? Stuff happens, the tech did not see my ticket. FUCK YOU!

I took my truck & got the fuck out of there.

 

A company in N.J. makes mics for aftermarket head units for the stock location.

 

Why can't we just get an adapter to use the factory mic?

 

I think it runs on oddball impedance & is part of the harness so not compatible.

 

Ordered an RC F throttle body & adapter.

LKQ does not make it easy. Called Oregon, verified they have it, then had to call Phoenix to order. I have to go pick it up when it comes as they do their own deliveries & do not do residential.

I took the truck to Firestone for an alignment, when I picked it up, they said my 23 month old X2 AGM was dying & showed me the report showing it had 329CCA of the rated 930. I took it to Batteries+ & they replaced it. I have until 9/26 on the free replacement warranty although he said it was a max of 2 free replacements so hopefully I don't find out what that means.






They had this 1300.00 battery.

 

When they tested it at Batteries+, they said the starter failed, that it was pulling too many amps, (don't remember the number is pulling too many amps the warning sign of failure?

I need to break out my Autel & test now

I think the gauge said high 200 amps.

Every time I use the Autel, it is a hassle. I finally got it to give me the report.

 

Not shockingly, the throttle body was not available yet when I called to see if I could go get it, they said late in the day delivery, available for pickup tomorrow.

 

Throttle body came, looks like it was never on a car!

 

Really seems unused, I see no evidence of coolant.

 

TB going on, It is on the SC but it's 116 & 60% humidity, I was sweating so much I could not see from the sweat in my eyes, had to come inside.

 

It is done, started right up, revs normally. Hope to get a read tonight.

 

Wash day, got both done between 6-7am while it was "only" 90& 60%.

Got 9.1 for the first time in a while.

 

Neighbor replaced his backyard including a new pool (replaced old one) so we had jackhammers & concrete demo recently. The deck people damaged the pool pebblecoating & they are doing it again. My entire house is shaking.

Happy I am not.

 

I finally got my 2k mile after the SC Blackstone report. High silicon is from resealing the timing cover I assume & Amsoil has Moly.

 

Drove to L.A. this morning.



Saw 10lbs boost.

 

Gotta love L.A. 138 for 20 gallons.

Gas buddy limits 100 per day.

 

700 mile L.A. trip,13mpg, clockspring caused a sporadic SRS error, but loved every mile & had a good time!

I had my OEM tow hooks lying around, there are threaded "holes" in the back that use the same bolts, 13.xx later...

 

I was just looking at this X2 on Batteries+ today, looks like a great battery!
