Are you going to just shop around for the best blend of price to performance? Or are you going to stick with DeWalt or some other brand you are loyal to? Reason I ask is I am admittedly all in on Milwaukee BUT there are many quality options available right now. Just off the top of my head I I know the following brands are decent if not great; Rigid, Ryobi, Makita, Flex, and Hart.

I have no loyalty, but my brother is talking about giving me his cordless tools that he upgraded from. They are Ryobi's. Not sure if I'll take him up on it. I don't like "owing" people, and especially him. LOL

Well, whatever brand you pick if you don't take the free tools, They all seem to have pretty good systems going on with lots of tools that use the same battery so you can just start out with the drill and then add on over the years. Harbor freight even has some well reviewed Bauer and Hercules power tools.

I won't do HF power tools, but I like their hand tools. I don't do a lot of stuff that requires more than hand tools, so IDK where I'll wind up. I do like the pretty red of Milwaukee though. :D

I mean, I'm not going to tell you to go away from Milwaukee. My Milwaukee collection has sneakily become huge over the years. I'm super satisfied with damn near everything I've gotten from them.

I don't mind clashing. Not familiar enough with Rigid to say one way or the other, but Milwaukee has lots of fans. I would hope it's for a good reason. They've got some cool storage boxes as well, but that's all way down the road. For now I have to get the nerve to do the job. lol

No space for that here. It's all dirt and potholes, or tiny lots that you'll slide out of when you lose any control.

I have been known to commit all kinds of shenanigans in parking lots in my town or neighboring towns over the years. Boat landings too. The Miata incident was at a combination grocery store liquor store gas station parking lot and the water wasn't quite as deep but it was during the most popular race weekend of the year so I did it for an audience. :anonymous: No ragerts. I can only assume judgmental people thinking I was a rich kid whose parents bought it for him because I was 20 or 21 at the time lol. Another funny memory involving a parking lot was going around a light pole with a concrete base with my parents Subaru outback in the winter time. I was doing an amateur gymkhana move going round and round about 7 ft away from the base and then all sudden I look to my right and a semi pulled in the lot so I awkwardly waved while sliding and then slid out onto the main drag and took off.

It's definitely fun, but the local police are hard on shenanigans and the parking lots are full/small.

Just your particular luck. Some people have it, some don't. I've got a buddy that got pulled over doing 80 in a 35 and all he got was a warning. Pretty sure the officer could see he was about two seconds from soiling himself, so he let him off. Worked too, because he will rarely if ever speed when driving.

We're thinking that might be our only trip this year. Not that it will be any easier next year with 3 kids and a dog.

Beard didn't get super quick until I was 25-26. Hasn't slowed down, and for some awful reason the sides and back of my head have always grown faster than the top. It tries to go mullet mode despite my best efforts. Just have to keep it cut down.

True, but that's also when the sheriff's and HPs are parked in the shadows watching. They know when the high school kids will do dumb stuff. I've seen them pop kids with a ticket many times.

My buddy is the same way with the facial hair. He can pretty much grow a full beard in a week. He won't but he should. His dad always had a beard.

On the driving thing, I have a clean record now, but as a punk kid, I should have died multiple times over but some how made it out the other side only losing my license once.

We used to joke that I didn't get tickets, I got court dates.

I love Miluwakee and DeWalt. Get brushless ones if you can. I prefer my Miluwakee tools over my DeWalt ones

I’m the same way. It can be a bit annoying though too. I do trim it once a week so it’s still close / neat to the face.

My buddy and I used to slow freeway traffic to 30-40mph to be dicks. Yes, we did that. Not to mention all the street races we attended at random weekends, hauling ass everywhere, pulling an e-brake at 50+ for a donut, etc lol

We used to pile in my Audi, leave school, drive 13 miles to grab fastfood, then 13 miles back to school in about 15-20 minutes. We would make this run about once a week. My Audi was aerodynamically limited to 120mph pinned in 5th gear with 5 or 6 kids in the car. We found my buddies Thunderchicken was maxed at 136 but was scary as shit on the bends in the road due to the shit tires and soft suspension.

I’m way past Adams age and mine still looks like a scraggly 12-yr-old nerd’s if I grow it two weeks or longer…only now it just has gray hairs in it too

I've gotten myself into a few shitty situations, but only ever ended up with 1 speeding ticket on my record. 65 in a 35, got pulled over on base in my parents van.
I think the fastest I've gone was with a buddy in high school in Utah. 140+mph in his parents Mazda 626, on I-15 between Layton and Ogden.
