    Glad that everybody was safe, but for sure a scary time. I feel the same as you and never go anywhere unarmed. Funny you mention getting your CCW as I was just about to call and set up my class for mine. Even though AZ is constitutional carry and I don't need a permit, I want it for the reasons you mentioned if I ever travel out of state.

    I have had my CCW since moving to Colorado in 1997. Just certain states that do mail in permits can work in your favor. It can get sporty trying to find a roadmap to get it done.

    Like I said, I've just never bothered getting one cause, well I live in AZ, but recently decided to just in case. My buddy gave me the info for the trainer he used, I guess it's online training and then swing by his place to be fingerprinted, cost less than $100. Although I don't know if I need the prints cause I already have a Level 1 Fingerprint card for my job, I guess I'll find out today when I call.

    Sounds like an amazing trip, except for the excitement at the end. Thank you for posting. You also made me think about my 2A rights. I have a permit from before Alabama became Constitutional Carry but rarely carry due to the plant I work in. I need to stop assuming that life is like it was when I was growing up. Everyone carried then, but it was hunting rifles and shotguns ready for any opportunity to go to the woods. Now the 2A is truly needed for personal protection. I need to get a comfortable concealed carry holster.

    Damn Chris……that sucks your daughters were subjected to this crap and glad to hear they are ok. Here in PA we have to get a license to be able carry from the sheriffs office. This needs renewed every 5 years. The thing that’s sucks for me is I live just a few miles from the Maryland line. If I even cross this line it’s a federal crime if I’m carrying, so I have to be very careful and make a trip home if we plan to go south. As far as the area I live, you know it’s bad when the local hospital is a level 1 trauma center because of all of the shootings and the surgeons they hire are war zone experienced doctors. I don’t go out looking for trouble but I won’t be caught unprepared if the shit goes down. Other than that your pics are beautiful. Another part of the country I have never been to. Happy to hear everyone is home safe.
