Yeah, walked her 3.5 to 4 miles every morning to try and wear her out. Tried to take a different route each day and that area in my neighborhood. Neighborhood lake with a tiny private / city access road. It’s not as long as it may look haha. 200 yards +/- maybe. She’s crazy so tried to keep her away from other people and dogs ~ not aggressive, but super young and dumb…. But sweet

We've gotten in the habit of training, playing every day. maybe a 15-20 minute session. Thing is, they are getting in better shape and I'm having to have multiple sessions to tire them out!

Yeah, might have to pump those numbers up to 30 minutes.

I just took her on my normal walking / running route which added up. Which might have ruined my brothers routine of a mile in the morning and a bunch of catch in the back yard in the afternoon.

I know what you mean though, my old dog with my ex, a dog of 13 years, was an hour a day. 5-6 days a week (she had a rest day, same as me) with maybe one weekend a month, drive her to a few different nearby parks with water so she could swim and those were about 2 hours walks.

didn’t start out that long but ended up there.

I guess for my old dog and my dogs after I don’t just do it wear them out, I just like to get them out and explore. Like for them to know their world is bigger than the house, and create a bond. I’ve gotten a few dogs I could walk through the neighborhood for hour off leash and disciplined with noises and verbal commands. I’m no trainer and it took time but just part of the bond. Also does take a lot of time and months, day after day to get there.

but yeah, I did it for my brothers dog just to wear her out. Even then did it seem like it made much of a difference.

Finally had a morning under 80 where she could get some mileage. 4.6 miles, one covey of quail and one rattler.

    Road trip report ;:burnrubber:

Lil guy travels very well , except this morning's " 1st leg" had him chew his new lead rope in half..

We have his other one for his harness and after eating dinner this evening we found a PetSmart that carries a "newer, heavy duty " version... and

of course we purchased a few other items; Dogs are just our "Other Children" :hattip:

Overnighting in South Carolina and all of these "New Noises" are testing his paitence... We will get through this just fine...

I almost forgot, the Bugga has figured out how to "Ask for Rest area" breaks quicker than the "Girls in my Life" o_O :fistbump:

Abosutely NO accidents in my vehicles :);)
