Months ago the rumor mill was thinking one more small increase and then that's it. Today, we got that bump but the Fed "left the door open" for more increases this year. Hope everyone has their credit cards paid off!

 

Yes, Overland Torque Tuning. I did all my reading months ago on them and KD Max, and I honestly have forgotten why I settled on OTT.

 

Wouldn't have mattered if the Hindenburg was full of helium; it was doomed from the start. That pretty silver paint they used... it is really similar to modern rocket fuel. The hydrogen had nothing to do with it burning.

 

I thought it blew up because they used 0w20 instead of 5w30.

I'm in good shape as long as nothing breaks. My whole job is to be on point for network surveillance. If I miss something, they may decide I'm not the guy they want watching stuff.

My first job on the books was stocking shelves overnight at a grocery store. 17 yrs old. Day folks made $4/hr. I got a big ole bump to $4.25 cause they paid more for overnights.
The only other job I worked overnights was when I lived in Louisiana. It was an hour commute, 7pm-7am maintaining production machines. It involved a gas fired furnace, a hydraulic press, air lines and sawdust. So, 12 hrs of welding and grinding next machines in a plant filled with oil soaked piles of sawdust and open flames.
And it was 5 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 5 days on, etc. Effed up weekends. Never knew what day it was. Leave at 6pm and get home at 8am, just as everyone is waking up and the sun is bright as shit. And had a toddler and newborn at the time.
Working over nights changes you. I did it twice in my life. It was easy at 17 and I toughed it out in my 20s, but I think it would about kill me if I tried it now.

 

That sounds rough, for sure. Mine is pretty cushy. I'm at a desk watching a dozen monitors and cycling through alarm systems. Much easier on the body. Still, the only way I survive it is the 7 on 7 off schedule. It leaves plenty of time to flip back and forth, and 6 to 6 is the best time for it, IMO.

 

I like the white monster drinks.
But I have to mix about 1/3 can with a Gatorade or some ginger ale.
If I pound a whole monster I get nauseous and a headache.
I'm so fuckin old and broken

 

I've had it before. It's almost a strawberry cream flavor, but a bit more on the strawberry side. I like it.
