Webers are the chit. Expensive AF but last way longer than anyone else. And you can get parts like the flavor bars and grills for decades.

I bought a little grill like this maybe 25 yrs ago. I think the name on it was Kenmore, can't remember. Don't remember where I bought it either. 100% stainless and grilled on it every summer for almost 20 yrs. Took it camping a half dozen times. Loved it.
I still have it but I need a new burner and the little grease deflector thingy. I'll probably never use it again, but I can't get rid of it. It was a little tank. I've seen the new ones that look just like it and they're paper thin crap.

Maybe so but $84 a year is a lot more palatable than whatever y'all pay.

I don't usually eat it. She makes it for herself so I don't get involved. I'm guessing that's just how she likes it, or just how it's always been done and never thought to grill it? All of the above?
You'd think after wasting that much money on a simple backyard grill, we'd use it more or she'd want to try different stuff. Yeah nope. And it's just the 2 of us. Everything that's ever been grilled on there could've easily been grilled on a little table grill. Today was the first time the side burner was ever used.
    Fuckin $800.
I can get some nice running boards for $800.

I just asked and she just never thought to try making corn on the grill.
I told her we should try it. We should start trying all kinds of shit and actually using the thing. Or I'm joining FB marketplace and putting it up for sale. Low mile Weber GSXR 4x4 extra special trail edition platinum. $799 + shipping.

Well, I hope everyone had a good Monday. After my craptastic Sunday, I went into today ready for war. Had an all-day meeting with a customer that's known for being rude and then I budgeted patience for a rain filled 90-minute commute home. In the end, the customer was great, the meeting got out early and no rain so a normal 30 minute drive. An amazing Monday.

To top it off, I called another local dealership for the trailer we want and they're like "Yeah, I can give you the built slot we have in Sept for a 2024 model. Tell me what you want for options and I'll give you a price that has $X profit for me" If it's a real deal, it will be about the same offer I made the other place on Saturday. I'll probably give the other dealership a call and chance to counter the offer, but not sure I want to go that route given the wife likes the color we can pick on the 2024 and I'll get exactly the options I want...decisions decisions.

Man I hear ya on the $800.
I grill at least 3 times a week year round more in summer/fall. I've found it to be cheaper and easier to buy a new, decent, cheap grill every couple years
    IMG_0623.jpg
This is year 2 for this one picked it up on a end of season sale $99 it will be replaced this fall

Something like that would've been perfect for us. This one better last the rest of my life. Which shouldn't be much longer if she keeps stressing me out and cluttering the house with and wasting money on shit we don't need/use.
I sweardagod of she buys one more fuckin holiday decoration to stuff in a closet "for next year".....

I stepped up to the $1200 version ($1500 now), but I grill 2-3 a week on average all year long. It was money well spent. Someday I will inherit my dads Fire Magic Aurora. Honestly I feel like my Weber cooks better, but there is no doubt thr Fire Magic is built to a different standard.

On the corn thing...soak the unhusked corn in water for 10 minutes, peel the loose husk leaves and silk off, then grill it on high spinning it as the outer leaves start to "toast".

And I don't begrudge those that do, but I can't. Anyway, some states are closing those loopholes. One in the NE just did because people did the same thing over there.

We used to see tons of Maine plates in CT, but either it got too expensive in Maine or CT really cracked down on it.

Maine is weird. Its like a southern state that was misplaced. McMansions next to houses with asphalt shingle siding.

    Great sled/quad/dualsport riding though.
