it was a warranty repair so I wanted them to do it. They gave me vehicles that I did not wash and drove 27000 miles on them

Having a brand new hybrid Sienna was nice for our family trip last month.

 

Looking at my wiper blade arms, and they are in pretty rough shape cosmetically. Other than spray painting is there a different option that could give decent results? Nothing on this truck is perfection so I'm open to suggestions. Just something to punch them up a little.

Problem is you don’t need much to do trim. A good coating must be purchased online. Solution finish would work on plastics but don’t get that stuff on paint and wear latex gloves. Where are you located?

 

I’m coating my truck Monday and might have some coating leftover. Can you post some pics of what needs to be addressed?

 

I don't think a coating will do it. I'm inclined to pull them off and hit it with some spray paint after sanding.Maybe some type of coating following the paint. I'm in Girard Pa. 15 miles west of Erie Pa. (aka as the mistake on the lake).

 

I have a tendency to agree with you. Remove them, lightly sand them, hit them with a little spray paint and maybe some clear afterwards

 

Cerakote is perfect for this.

 

Bingo. Why this escaped me I do not know.

 

It’s been 3 years since I used it on the nerf bars. That spot that water dropped on is still clearly visible, so it definitely lasts a while.

What is a good product to clean brightwork (plastic chrome)

Is this too far gone?

 

I've used some chrome polish before. WAY back, I think it was a white bottle with a red cap about the size of a bottle of brake fluid. Turtle wax maybe?

 

There are tons of chrome polishes on the market. Give White Diamond a try...available on Amazon.....it seems to have just enough abrasive in it and will leave some protection behind
