They have decimated the Everglades. They said you can hardly find any small game left. They have cut a few open to find they are eating small deer too. It's really sad what's happening there.

Sorry to have to tell you this but we're going to have to cut you guys off. We're going to dig another Panama canal near Jacksonville. Between Florida Man and Pythons it's too much. All my family near Sarasota can come see me from now on.

I need a nice sharpening system like that. I use a whetstone but I'm still learning it and it's slow. I want to be able to sharpen a half dozen knives in a sitting.

I actually like snakes, and pythons at least aren’t venomous. But 19ft? And just hanging out in the swamp closer to home? Nope…

 

This took a little getting used to, but I have been very happy with it. I’ve done everything in the house on it a couple times now - the first time took some set up and playing to both figure out the angle and reprofile a few of them, but I took notes on the angles and can now bust out all the kitchen knives pretty quick…except when I find one that a family member has bounced around in the sink and it’s got nicks in the edges.

I am going to get a couple more stones for it - might pick up a 1500 and 2000 grit and then a leather strop. Not for the kitchen knives, but a few other knives would be fun to really get shiny

Those Hapstone sharpeners look nice. A little pricey and hard to get in Canada though. I'm looking at the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Pro.

My RT knife is for my use only. I have cheap knives for others to use. Time to replace them now, so I'm looking at the Victorinox Fibrox line. Designed to be used and abused by line cooks.
