We saw the AF when we were camping last week. I kept stealing looks at it…Like back in high school when your friend’s mom was smoking hawt and was looking cold in a t shirt.

The AF is shorter, a bit lighter, has nicer hardware/features and no slide. The Nash has more (and better) storage, more room to move thanks to the slide, and most importantly is about $5k less.

The wife normally talks me out if it at this point, but she seems game for either. Especially since both are perfect for when we retire. It’s just not the smart short term move from a financial point…

It's bullshit that the gov handed out loan forgiveness for "education" (what a joke), but there's no loan forgiveness for useful shit like trailer loans.

Young Frankenstein is my wife's and my favourite but it's been far too long since I watched Blazing Saddles.

Based on my experience and that of my wife's parents, I'd always go for the trailer with more storage if they're otherwise pretty much equal.

I have mixed feelings about finished basements.
If it's a split level, built into the side of a hill, great. If it's an old house in the north east that was finished by myself or someone I know who isn't a hack, great.
When it comes to buying an older, flipped home with a finished basement, I say run far away. It's almost always a sign that they hid or buried something.
I'm also big on access and maint. So it needs to be done in a way that you can still access everything.

Not sure if any of y'all with a '20 or later get mail from Toyota offering to 'upgrade' you to a newer truck. I've been getting them since about 8 months after I bought my '20. 18 months ago in the midst of the plague and chip shortage they still wanted to give me about $57k - basically what I paid for it. Just got an offer today for $28k. I was/am never going to sell it; but man what a difference a few months makes.

I need help from any of the cellphone techies here.
Know how you can have an auto response on your phone that says "sorry, I'm driving at the moment.....", Yada yada etc?
Well, I have a work cell. Is there a way to set it up where, say, from 3pm Fri until 5am Mon, it auto responds with "go fuk yourself"(?)

See my last post. Perhaps there's a way to set up an auto response to emails like those.

One of the local dealerships asks if I want to sell it every time I bring it in for servicing but, by my math, I'd need to get at least $110k CAD for it to be worth it.

LOL. Not to fan the flame since it's borderline political, but let's weigh the differences.

Loan forgiveness for one person or a reduced interest rate for a trailer purchase? Helping anyone out of debt is a nice cause, but the ROI on the initial investment is long term at best. Yes, they can become a bigger consumer in the economy more quickly. But buying a trailer dumps a lot of money into the economy immediately. It helps the dealership and manufacturer. That's a faster ROI...

I like trailers that are laid out in an efficient way that accommodates a large bathroom and no need for a slide out. So I like the AF. Also like that it's lighter. What's weird to me is that it's $5k more than the larger model with the slide out.
That said, if I had 3 little kids, I'd go for the storage, more space with the slide out and the lower price tag.

My wife made an appointment to have the oil changed in her little bronco at the shop around the corner. They said to drop it off at 9:30am and they'd be done with it by 11am.
She called at noon and they said they're not done.
    It's 1pm now.
I'm about to take a walk over there and go full old man on them and take the car.
It doesn't take 1.5 hrs to change the oil on anything, let alone a little passenger vehicle.
It certainly doesn't take 3.5 hrs.
I told my wife I would change it this weekend and she made the appt anyway.
I'm about to go full old man on her ass too.

Yep, walked in and asked if they got to it yet and he said, let me check,.....came back 1 min later and said, just give us a half hour,......
Half hour? My wife had an appt for a week and you've had it for 4 hours......
He went and grabbed the keys right away.
