    Tundras to Sedona
good question. And the perfect place to have a debate about it is in Yake’s build thread. See, we’ve had some feedback from people about wanting to do something besides Sedona. And we’ve toyed with the idea for a couple years of an off-cycle event that would still be T2S, but would be Tundras to Somewhere (or Someplace, whatever). It would be like an adventure style meet with limited attendees doing an overland type of thing. It wouldn’t replace T2S as an annual event, but be a supplement maybe in the late summer or fall or whatever.
Enough people have said stuff about doing something else besides regular T2S that we’re mildly considering doing Tundras to Somewhere next year instead of Tundras to Sedona. (It would really be something like “Tundras to Sedona: Parker Edition” or whatever). That event would replace the regular T2S for next year.
I’ve also heard a lot of people who can’t wait to go to Sedona again, or for the first time, or whatever.

A lot of whatever’s in there.

I’d like to see the Sedona event stay since it is accessible to so many people and offers a huge variety of options. Also need my shot at a 3-peat for Go Fast Friday… :D

Would also love to see a secondary event that’s aimed to be smaller and more remote - I’ve suggested Moab or San Juan Mountains in CO. Colorado you’d want to do in July or August since they are just now getting some of the highest passes opened up.

Was able to get some tweaks on the front coilovers done today. Now we’re sitting pretty even across the front and 2” of rake. Front hub to fender measurements are about 23” and rear are ~25”. Again, huge thanks to Hotshot Offroad / @memario1214 for hooking it up on the kit, and thanks to @KevinK @BiggHertz and @AT x AT for help with the install and trail tuning.

Your truck has a bunch of dust on it. You need to wash it, probably wax it too.

It was 1300 miles each way for me, and well worth it. Of course, being my first time, I didn’t get to experience the “regular” site but still had a great time. Met a ton of great folks and I’m sure I missed out meeting equally as many.

I don’t think it’s as much the place for me as the gathering of folks that made it so fun. I know it’s hella convenient for the AZ folks, and it’s great you have so much public land (unlike some states), so that definitely helps draw a large crowd from that region, but it was impressive how many came from so far too.

The challenge to more of an “overland” themed event is 1) not everyone is as “set up” for that sort of thing (though I’d tend to just throw up a regular tent and call it good) and 2) you’ve got to keep the caravan sizes reasonable or have a LOT of trails available to be able to accommodate a group of any size.

I like both ideas - a consistent “core” event that remains reasonably stable in location and timing, and the smaller traveling event that is offset far enough on the calendar to give people an option to do both or to pick one or the other. I know for a lot of people (me included) a big part of the “draw” was to experience THE T2S that we had heard so much about. And I’m itching to see a lot of the same folks again and get to know even more of the group.

Perhaps the most important thing would be to have the planning out in front fast enough that at the conclusion of the current year’s event, the schedule for the next year’s event gets announced. It gives everyone ample time to start planning, especially while the buzz is still going and the hangover of returning to work hasn’t set in yet.

I did not… but I honestly haven’t had much noise with these packs lately. Not sure why. Figured I’d wait until they get real chirpy and do the needful.

The lower shock mount has been thoroughly blasted by sand and rocks and looks like hell, but luckily the shock shaft is still good (some cosmetic stuff but is smooth and shouldn’t cause leaks). @memario1214 hooked it up with shock boots and now I feel much better.
