So this is how my day is going to go lol. Swapped trucks with a buddy last night that works at a Ford Dealer. He's got a tint guy that comes in and they're going to retint my tundra. That means I have to drive his F150 to and from work today. Godspeed.

Better mileage than the tundra. We’ve been in a king ranch f150 all week and it’s nice and quiet and fast. Still won’t buy one but it’s a nice driving truck.

It's not bad. The chimes drive me nuts because it's a very different tone. The sport mode will blow your doors off and it's only the 2.7L. I like how the windows drop down by the side view mirrors. It makes visibility a lot nicer. The MPG is excellent for a 1/2 ton and that's in normal mode (not eco) and a 75/25% highway/city driving. Overall it's not a bad truck, I'm just already ready for my Tundra back lol

The 0-60 times are roughly the same on that 2.7 as the Tundra. Boost just makes it feel faster than it actually is. Our trucks are respectfully quick for ~5600lbs.

Yeah it's definitely the butt dyno i'm using. In normal mode, the Tundra feels faster and steady power. (obvious because of NA V8)

And here’s the update. My old tint was cheapo eBay tint that I put on a year before the lease ended. I ended up buying the lease out last year and noticed the tint had faded from 20% to probably close to 50%. Had new quality 20% added along with a visor strip at 20% as well.

Yeah I know. I was sent two and put them both on. They were both in the same direction so I was unable to apply the passenger side correctly.

20230719_150128.jpg Installed my Tyger faux rock rails/side steps.

I had these on my 4Runner and really liked them. They have more clearance than the factory ones and look much nicer.

I trimmed the inside front bumper to make room for 37’s. I might have to trim the corner of bumper a tad. But, I don’t think so. I drilled new holes and put bolts/nuts up through. Tucked the plastic behind the bolts. Then took the grinder to it to cut the oe bolts off and ground the bumper back a little. I think I gained around 11/2”-2” of more clearance. I also took the heat gun to it too. Next will be the pinch welds. Then bmc. Pics are left side and right side. My tires now are 295/70R18IMG_4774.jpgIMG_4776.jpg

Had these Icon Vector 5’s 17x8.5 +25 and Wildpeak 285/70/17 sitting in the garage since March. Was waiting for the factory rubber to finally be cooked down to nubbins. Hit 57,000 miles and couldn’t wait any longer. Very happy with the outcome

Question for Amp Research running board owners: how far from the bottom of the pinch weld to the top of the running board?

    Bestop boards are 5”
