It ran into a garden bush, so I hosed it out and stepped on it.
    I think this is it.

I wouldn't have killed it unless it was something lethal and/or aggressive.
I'm a little creeped out by spiders as much as the next guy, but 99% of the time they're not causing any problems. If you notice, they always try to get away from you.
Plus, that's dozens of other bugs that actually are a PITA, that won't be killed by a spider you took out.

I almost let it be, but not knowing that type of spider off hand, and with two dogs it’s not going to fly by me.

    Understandable.
I flipped over a hunk of wood I have at the back of the country house that I keep near the propane regulator and saw a big ass black spider and thought, shit, we got some kind of big country ass black widow shit out here.
Turned out to just be some corn fed jumping spider (which I thought were all little shits). They don't bite and have no venom. So I let him be. He's just tryin to make a living like the rest of us. Hopefully he eats asshole beetles.

Jumping spiders can bite, but unless your allergic it's just a tiny, itchy water blister.

Well, he was trying his hardest to get away from me and get to the ground. I was using a leaf to try and keep him up on the cement wall so I could get a pic and identify. I'm glad he didn't get pissed and jump on me and beat my ass. He did not want his pic taken.

I generally don't mind spiders as long as I see them first. I scream like a scalded dog when a spider is crawling on me without first announcing its presence and asking for permission! What's even better is walking into a Golden Orb Weaver's web and the darned thing ends up mounted to the top of your dome.

I see it first and I leave it alone unless it is a Brown Recluse. Kill on sight!

Ya we have some of those jumping spiders and I let them be. Not worried about them trying to bite the dogs or kids. We also have a lot of rock spiders (probably incorrect terminology) that just move super quick around the rocks and sometimes I see them in the grass

I've spent a LOT of time outdoors since I was a kid and a lot of time in the woods. That said, I've seen a lot of shit at the new property that I've never seen before. Some of it scared the shit out of me. After looking it all up, the worst thing out there is the ticks.
Saw a giant horntail for the first time a few years ago. Looks like a 2" giant wasp with a 1/2" stinger. Thought I was gonna have to fight it. Turned out to be harmless.

Nice looking ride. Here is my commuter\corner carver (real beginner's bike). Relative noob here as well. 1 year of full-time riding under the belt. Come time to upgrade, I will turn it into a track machine.
    20230717_182728_HDR[1].jpg
My wife is leary of me riding so she will call if I'm not home at my normal time or on a ride with my former manager; which is where the comms come into play. He leads the way on some fabulous backroads and provides great commentary and directions. Music\sports radio are background noise when riding alone or on my commute. The Motosafe earplugs are comfortable and do an exellent job of mitigating wind and motor noise. Again, just my opinion. For something so quiet from 3 feet away it is a noisy sunofgun when I'm riding without the plugs. No, I haven't gotten nor do I intend to get an annoyingly loud exhaust.

I rode a fully loaded 2019 Tiger 900 with adjustable windscreen. Loved it. No buffeting and minimal noise. Everyything directed over my helmet. Too bad I didn't have $13k burnng a hole in my pocket :D

Sweet looking bike! I. Too old and fat to hunch over on a sport bike, though. I appreciate their lines and styling, but I also know those are the bikes that most of the jackasses tend to do stupid stuff on and make cars hate bikes. I'll avoid that image if I can.

I can see the Yamaha star, but I don't know it on sight. What year and model?
