What is the max lift I can install on my 2013, w/out changing suspension?

 

Are you referring to spacer lifts?

 

Probably 3/1 front/rear. Using spacers (booooooo) will just bolt up with your existing suspension (assuming it’s factory). Most are not a fan of this as the ride will not be great, the suspension will be out if it’s normal operating zone, you’ve sacrificed down travel to get the truck lifted up, and since your shocks may be worn out if they’re still factory, you might as well get some new lifted shocks, like 5100 billies.

 

Not at all familiar with lifts, but I did have a leveling kit installed.
It's a 2013, but only 90K miles. Does stock suspension wear out by then?
It see's some off-roading but very mild off-roading at that.

 

At 90K it's a pretty good bet that the factory suspension is worn. The black shock on the rear last about 30K.

Do yourself a favor and don't get a spacer lift. I bought a 2014 with a 3/1.5 spacer lift. It just opens a box of worms you don't wanna mess with. How much lift do you want? If you want to level it then just buy bilstein 5100, they lift the front from .875 to 2.5" I believe and they are pretty cheap.

If you raise the front 3" then you'll have to lift the back (1-1.5"), if you go 3 inch in front, you should (but don't necessarily have to) replace the upper control arms with aftermarket like JBA, front diff drop spacer for CV axles angles and carrier bearing drop for driveline (sounds bad but takes 10 minutes to install)

Just do yourself a favor and research before lifting.

Do you have the bilstein blue and yellow or black shocks?

 

I have the Bilstein Blue & Yellow....
I will look into the bilstein 5100 set up.

Why the question on which shocks I have?
Does one have a longer "life" than the other?

 

Blue and Yellow is Bilstein 4600. Black shocks are different brand, not as heavy duty I don't believe.
