I like love a good cheesecake. My wife makes a phenomenal cheesecake. But the best cheesecake is simple. A few simple ingredients for flavor, maybe a basic fruit compote on top. Loading it up with chocolate and caramel is an abomination*

*not saying chocolate cheesecake isn’t good, but the flavor should be in the cheesecake with maybe a simple light ganache on top. One of my wife’s best ones is a chocolate Kahlua cheesecake with chocolate Kahlua ganache.

the thing about the '08 that ruined me in every other vehicle was the way it would keep the starter engaged until the engine started, even with just a quick bump to the start position. I can't tell you how many times I would jump in someone else's rig and look like an idiot when I gave the key a quick turn and then sat there waiting for it to turn over and it wouldn't.

My 18 still has the auto start with a quick key bump (not the fun kind), but yeah, I also screw that up driving any other keyed vehicle.

My dad bought two of these tables when costco had them. Kinda spendy for what it is but with an extra minute of setup you can get the entire table dead level with the telescoping legs no matter the campsite. Pretty nice for outdoor meal prep when everything is not rolling away from you.

That has been a tundra feature since day one I think. My brother's '04 does it and I don't know of any other vehicle that also does that. Not even other toyotas :notsure:

Yeah - it was awesome for a keyed vehicle. Now I've got push button - even easier!

Love the quick key bump to start, even the ancient Sequoia has it.

I thought 20 was the first year for pushbutton start, but you had to go up to at least one of the TRD packages on the SR5 to get it.

The Pirellis and the Banana Ducks were me. Anything you post a link for gets put in the "Products discussed in" window at the bottom. I think it's similar to affiliate links and helps generate funds for the forum. I could be wrong on that. Fun fact: Did you know that there is a scroll bar on the right of that section and you can scroll through many things that have been linked in the past?

You are correct on the year, but I don't know what trims/packages had to be selected to get the push button start. Might have even been different ones for Canada vs The States.

I've never seen that movie.

Well, I didn't know what the retaining washers were on the front wheel and forgot or didn't know how to install them correctly, then decided to pull the front wheel off the ground as I was jumping a curb. I lost the wheel and got thrown over the handlebars face first onto the concrete, breaking my teeth. I had to undergo several painful dental surgeries, including having to get an implant 45 years later.

Japanese Beetles and Cicadas (and a few other bugs, I think) have very similar looking larvae - grub worms. There's a granulated insecticide called Dylox that works pretty well at keeping them down. Two applications in spring takes care of the vast majority of them. The grubs are doing you more damage than the beetles themselves.
