Second Key FOBs

Anyone else having issues with getting a second key FOB from Toyota? Bought the new truck in early February and dealer said due to chip shortage it would take couple months to get second key FOB and would let me know by mail… had my Tundra for over 5 months and no communications at all from Toyota and calling the Central number in my region has been absolutely no help. Dealer said they couldn’t help us since it was a Corporate IOU.

Answer you're looking for.. Don't expect your second key until at least October I'd say. If you're really pressed, just bite the bullet and grab another set from your dealer at your cost. If you happened to purchase Toyota's package that included key replacement, you could always just file a claim in a couple weeks and get a free key that way since you technically paid for it

 

Going on 8 months now and no 2nd key fob

 

Talked to the Toyota service manager, who is a friend of mine, about whether I'll get two fobs on my 2023 when it comes in around the end of this month. He said I'll get one and the second will be 8 or 9 months out due to the chip shortage.

 

I'm hearing August for my Sienna second fob . IF it happens it will be 9 months. I'm not holding my breath

Hoping I don’t lose mine before I can get the second. At least they weren’t selling truck without chips and having us come back to install like Chevy. Still waiting on a chip for 22 tahoe heated steering wheel and adaptive cruise. 14 months after purchase.

 

Just get a TILE tracker or Airtag for your key and now worries until second one comes in. That’s what I did at least.

 

My big question is whether that diagram is for people who have contacted Toyota (not the dealership) and made a complaint, or if that's for everyone.

 

Then I should expect a key in the mail this month, but I won't be holding my breath.

 

Anyone have issues with their turbos or rod bearings?

what mileage should I do my first oil change and last, what’s the biggest tire I can put on my truck ?
