Yes, mine was a '19. Push button wasn't an option until 2020, and though I wanted it and the smart handles I didn't want the phone app radio that came out in 2020. I'm 99% sure the key was always an option if you didn't get some of the fancier packages/trims.

The difference is that the line at a gas station moves quickly. The charging stations; not so much.

Debatable. How much of a charge, from what state of charge, and what version SC they have.

I should also add, I charge at home pretty much all the time. So, when I wake up it’s like have a full tank every morning.

I wouldn't even think about owning an EV unless I could charge at home 95% of the time.

When I was in Hong Kong last November they told me of a cluster that had happened the prior holiday. Guess there are very few Tesla charging stations and some had a two-day wait. Oof. No way that’s Elon’s fault. That’s local government bureaucracy

Even charging at home, I make drives in a single day that just don't make sense with the limited range and long charges. Driving 600-800 miles a day takes long enough when I can fill the tank in 5 minutes. I don't want the hassle of the charge times on the road.

I know multiple people that only drive local and refuse to consider an EV simply because of range anxiety. One of them even has two other cars and still rents a car if they drive long distance. Their excuses are epic. I just don’t understand everyone’s love of gas stations.

If I lived in a city and never left it's boundaries, I would be ok with an EV on range. Living out in the country where everything is an hour or more away, EVs just don't make sense. Certainly not for the cost.

Mine too. She always ask why I wait for a minute or two when she rides with me, I always explain it, but nothing changes. I’m not too OCD about hers right now until I buy her a yota.

With the advancements of synthetic oil and how well it all flows, as long as it's not getting flogged right off the bat I think we are all being overly cautious. I can't help it though. I just feel a little better if it gets half a minute to get the fluids pumping.

True! With how expensive vehicles are these days I just do some of these little things so they last as long as possible.

    You just wait
I am fanatical with letting my vehicle warm up before driving it. Only in the most dire of circumstances will I just get in and go.

Another good Blackstone tool is something to shim the system level. I keep a set of cheap cork drink coasters in my kit. @GODZILLA IMG_3906.jpg

I have a buddy with a Nissan Leaf. He also has a Honda Passport. For around town and local runs they use the Leaf. If they go any further than 50 miles, they use the Passport.

With the 0w-20 oil, it flows quickly. I wait maybe 5 seconds on a normal day. If I haven’t run the truck in a week, or its below freezing I might wait 10-20 seconds. Basically the time for the stereo to boot and get rid of the legal screen.
