Is RCI the only company making 3rd gen skid plates with catalytic protectors for the hybrid? Looks like CBI and Adventure motors don’t have a version of their plates for the hybrid powertrain. Also - if you add an overland style bumper to the front does this change the compatibility of the skid plates? Or should everything still be fine since all the aftermarket plates use existing factory attachment points?

Was hoping to find an aluminum (to save weight) skid plate from a company that is compatible with the hybrid but may be some time before this is out it appears.

I also see that a lot of the skid plates available (RCI, CBI, Talon) are not necessarily compatible with lifted vehicles. I’m in search of a full set compatible with lifted vehicle and compatible with CBI covert bumper (no diff drop will have TRD extended CV’s).

MillerCat. It's aluminum with countersunk bolts, you just add on the hybrid portion. It's a good system and was easy to install.

Question would be ….. will they work with a CBI covert Front bumper easily AND - with a lift kit. Those are the two issues I’ve heard of with skid plates and those two factors.

    How big of a lift?

typically 2-3” is ok. It’s once you start cutting out the sub frame you run into issues.

we just finished up our Transfer case skid. The hybrid version is also ready but just needs a local test fit. I attached a picture of our 3rd gen non hybrid setup.

our front skid plate doesn’t extend past the radiator support, so as long as the bumper doesn’t interfere with that area, they could work together. I’ll have to look more on Monday.

How close are you to making the skid work with a diff drop?

So the truck I modeled the prototype of off has a RC 3.5” lift which incorporated a diff drop bracket. I’m not sure how many different options are out there at this time time so it’s hard to know if it will work with every one.

The design would work well with a few spacer plates if another .5-.75” was needed.
