Rear window mega rattle

Noticed when driving with the rear window rolled down there is a crazy amount of rattling. Not sure where the rattling is coming from but almost worried that the rear window will break.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a resolution?

 

Have someone hold your rear window while driving to test - it's most likely bed is rattling...

 

Does yours make rattling noises as well?

 

Could be the truck bed.

Yep it used to.
I took truck to dealer with this same complaint, even printed out proposed ways to fix it from the bed rattling thread...

Dealer test drive it, agreed that bed rattles but no direction from Toyota how to fix this and they aren't going to try random suggestions from forums...

It got fixed after I installed camper shell and it put some weight on the bed, it's silent now

 

I’ll bet it’s the tailgate or the bed and it’s supports. I just installed a tonneau cover and it’s all quiet back there now.

There’s a thread in here about bed rattles and how to resolve. On the gate check that the right hinge is fully seated. My Tacoma rattled there and I put a hose clamp around the hinge it to stop it. (Also was a theft deterrent as it didn’t have a locking gate)

 

I’ve got the rattle as well when shutting passenger rear door. Going to ask dealer about it at 10k service.

 

Mine rattle like a .......Actually, I find that both the rear windows and the very back window all rattle when they are all the way down.

 

Mine was the plastic bed rail caps. You can basically play drums on them. I put a hard trifold tonneau on. Gone.

 

Going to first put a washer on the tailgate cable and see if that fixes it. Then probably the bed bolts if problem persists

 

I am having this rattle sound when the back window is rolled up... I keep on trying to pinpoint where its coming from but I cant.
