    Bought this one off Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BX6F1ZP9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Install was pretty easy. Hardest part was expanding the existing hole to accommodate for slightly larger replacement. Bought a step bit and made quick work of the project. Used existing wiring but removed from the plastic connector.

probably gonna buy at least 1 more to replace others in center console and under head unit

Yeah, they were replaced in the first week. Didn’t bother with the center console.

How hard is it to remove the panel below the AC buttons now that the cigarette lighter “ports” are no longer there.

Usually I use my thumbs in those to pull the panel off but doesn’t look like that would be an option once replacing with usb c ports

Todays lesson in don’t throw any random mounts or hardware away. Initially only used the single radium mount but after the recent stillen pipe it got in the way. So I was able to locate the secondary radium mount and got that dialed back in.

Also ordered some front rotors and pads to hold me over until the BBK is ready since I smoked my setup this passed weekend on the trail run. Next up fixing an Evap code/drain fill the trans and hopefully tuning asap

I don't notice any difference in taking it off now versus stock. Probably taken it off several times since they have been installed

Adding a battery cage and bracing the mounting structure underneath.

Personally seen 3 batteries come loose/rip out of the j-hooks on the hold down off road, 1 hit the airbag sensor mounted in front of the battery and set the bags off. Had better hooks and hold down previously, and battery was glued down with silicone lol (worked really well). Tig welding the thin metal bracket for the battery isolator to the cage was interesting, think I get carried away with anything that has a throttle pedal, end up mashing it when things go wonky. Hope to get it installed later today, and get the bracing for under it fabbed up and painted.

Yea, I need to figure out a much better mount for the same reason. But it'll be moved to the bed at some point but in the meantime.

I’ve seen one instance of the battery coming loose and smoking the airbag sensor :anonymous:

Is that for a 27f or are you running a 34?

Posted this in the power tailgate lock thread also…I have a slight problem…my truck had the branded PopnLock installed when I bought it; don’t know if previous owner installed or his selling dealer. Anyway, it quit working a while back even after cleaning. It seems to be getting power at the tailgate by test light. I bought a replacement kit and tested the actuator prior to install and no joy. However, I did test both actuators directly at the battery and both function. Any ideas on this?

 Ok, guess it’s 4 now. The rest of the forum must think we are idiots.

24f, that’s what Walmart sells in agm for the Tundra. Saves a little weight, and keeps the battery isolator within the footprint of the original 27f for me. Not sure why/if that matters though.:notsure:

Would be nice, but I don’t have any room in the bed for it.

Do you not have the windshield wiper de-icer in the windshield? What trim level do you have? Or is this the actual wiper that is heated?

I need to be able to cut my lines and get them in the truck. I have my street being paved starting today. They will be grinding and stuff from today until Aug 1st... really? Did not realize it took that long but this could be the time I was looking for

She was tight. I hit the whoops a little too hard following you, though, and apparently there was enough flex in the battery tray to let the J hook slip out. There was a fun balance between smashing my OE battery or having it tight enough to not move…

Lol. @BiggHertz is the poster child for needing a battery box. Nothing will hold the battery with the j-hooks on big hits. I ran around on borrowed time too long, but that silicone held my battery in place really well.:D My fried Alex managed to rip out his battery cage at T2S, but we found a nice solution for bracing the supporting structure.

What's the effect of removing the secondary cats? Wouldn't that cause issues with the ECM?
