Yep we call for 116 on saturday!

 

It had been getting under 90 which is rare for here. I have been seeing highs between 115 & 118.

Have been really enjoying this thread (especially going all BLUE). But with weather like that....what mods could be done to the AC....it seems the super charger should be connected to the compressor with those temps! Lol. Besides tint, are there ways to enhance the internal temperature?

I am in the north east --- and due to the humidity, I have to flush my AC system annually -- it can get a moldy smell if I do not (first car I owned to act this way).

 

There is a system that pipes the cooled AC air to the intake, it is over 1k & I'm good where I am. (all I want to do now is the smaller pulley I have to get to 10lbs regularly, although the 8.9 I'm at really is amazing)

That flushing sucks, I'm not sad I don't have to do that.

I said when it was May & not getting above 70 at night it was going to be a rough summer. Supposed to get to 119 which means 124 because it's always 5 more than they say.

119 was the high yesterday.

Google search says 113 was the high, weather.gov, 118. I saw 119.

That is simply insane! We have 100% humidity on the East Coast --- it is like walking through soup. But we do get rain to help cool everything down. Stock in the weather, the AC is pretty good. If this weather keeps up, people will no longer be bragging about boosted engines, but boosted A/C systems lol (I got 32,000 BTU under my hood).

 

This was yesterday, it’s 20 days in a row over 110.

 

.01 higher than yesterday...120 tomorrow?

 

Found the 5th TRD PRO rim & ordered the 5th tire. Picking the rim up tomorrow, hope to have it installed Saturday!

High yesterday was 115, thinking it's going to beat that before 11.



Missed it by 12 minutes.

 

FedEx emailed the tire was delivered, I went to Firestone to drop the rim. I had already dropped the spare from its mount and put it with the empty rim in back.

I went & said you just had a tire delivered for me & said I wanted to drop the rim & old spare that are in the back of my truck, I handed him my Simple Tire receipt. He looked confused, said what tire, asked the other guy if he knew about a tire also confused. Guy2 went through the door between the service area & the lobby & said I guess this one, I said Cooper AT3?. Crickets. I repeated the location of the rim & old spare in the back of the Sequoia

Guy 2 then asks if they need to remove the rim from the truck, having said that 3x now I said They are in back, I am just trying to drop them off, I have said that 3x now. I had pointed to my visible through the window truck 4x, & guy 1 asked where the truck was!

We walk out, I get the tires out & we walk to the new tire & he asks again what I want.


WTF???

 

Lexus light just came. It's not blue but not amber. Plugged right in. I like it!

 

Picked up the wheel/tire. It's 119.9, it'll go on in the morning when it's only 95

 

Tire is on, I need to change the location of the spare/front tire in my Kenwood, it is done in the Maestro menus & would not let me.

iDatalink is in Canada, I think they only hire mean Canadians as I have never spoken to a nice one.

let me know 2 things....
1. How you like the coopers?
2. How you fit them in your wheel wells without rubbing. I'm going to be getting the same tires, but in a 275/70R18 so I can clear on my PRO without rubbing/trimming.

they look good on there though!

 

The other 4 have been on about 2k miles, I love them, I am 1.75" lifted, no rubbing. Lost mpgs to these & more to the the SC + lead foot.

The side by is new & old, I see little wear so far.

 

considering your an inch wider and 2 inches taller than stock size....yea, i can see you losing mpg's. then of course the SC will just add to the losses, but in a good way.

 

If I cared about MPG I'd drive one of our hybrids. I like my SPGs (smiles per gallon)
