This is what I got for MPG's from my house to the office averaging about 60-70 MPH. I was driving in ECO and driving pretty conservative. I am getting 20MPG at 80 MPH. In my 2021 Limited the best I ever saw
was 17.6 on the highway but mostly around 14MPG.

sorry man, my previous profession was a auto tech, alot of this is wrong info, the tranny coolers still stay active, if the engine is on - the pump is on

Rolling down in hills in gear still engages the engine rpm, they are correct it is using minimum fuel since your not adding any to the skinny pedal, but you do see your engine climb in rpm's, the fuel injectors are not supplying air for that to happen.

Yes you have reduced control, since you cant accelerate, but how are you going to prove this? Manual car/motorcycle operators either do this or downshift gears using the transmissions, which auto transmissions can do as well but drivers rarely force it into manual mode. And if you cant control your vehicle going down a hill, then you shouldnt be on the road with others, you only have to focus on applying brakes.

Liters is based on the imperial gallon....not the US gallon. If you go to Lordco in Canada and buy a Jerry can you will notice X litres and X imperial Gallons stamped into the plastic jug So when you calculate your milage in L/100KM, make sure your conversion is in Imperial Gallons. There is quite a difference between the US and Imperial gallon but because our trucks come out of the US.....all the onboard stuff is based on US gallons ( and rightfully so ) .

So if you convert litres /100KM to MPG....make sure you are using the correct gallon

I was worried about my milage. In town (suburbs) I get around 13 MPG. Its the same (or maybe a little worse) that I got with my 2011 5.7L Tundra. I did a 120 mile road trip (one way) with my 87 year old dad following me so I kept it to a respectable 70 to 79 MPH (65 - 75 MPH speed limits). I got 20.7 MPG on the outbound trip, no cruse control. I was really supprised so I really thought about why my in town milage is so bad. Most of my travel is taking the kids to school and going into the office. Kids school is two miles away and office is 7 miles away. All surburb streets have many stop signs or lights and I am traveling during "rush hour". I did normal driving on the way home from that trip at 80 to 90 MPH and still got 18.2 MPG (still no cruse control). I am also still kind of in the break in period with <1200 miles. Hope my anecdote helps.

Do some of you people have another vehicle pushing you off to driving speed or something? I only get 13.6.

nope, just more people are doing hi way miles to get the average up. first 1/4 tank will pretty much set the rest of the average for the tank. for those doing only city driving, your pretty much stuck in the low teens.

the wife drives 90% city and averages 11.x to 13.x. we get 16.x and higher if we take trips out of town which is still better than our 2018, getting 1-3 mpg better right now. over time and more tanks the avg will probably be higher than 18.x on highway.

    Lots of stuff!
Thanks for offering some clarity, we do have many different measurements to look at. Our imperial gallon at 4.54L, the US gallon at 3.78L and then there is our L/100kms value.

Miles to Kilometers is a ratio of 8 to 5 so when comparing the MPG that others are posting does require some conversions.

My truck reported 13L/100 kms on the flat part of our trip at ~110 kph or ~69 mph.

    3.44 US gal/100 kms or 3.44 US gal/62.5 miles or 18.1 MPG.

So I had to look at both numbers for this posting so my info can relate to the majority of users here.

I took a road trip over the weekend. All in all about 1000 miles. Average was 16.7mpg and cruise was set to 85 for all highway driving but still moving through and around slower traffic.

hoping to see a little improvement with break in, but happy with the improvement over my ‘21 that averaged 13/15

    current milage - 1313.6

My 2022 with 2400 miles on it seems to average 16-17 mpg. That's a combination of city and country road driving. That is also an average over the past year. I'm satisfied with that since fuel economy was not one of my concerns when buying it.

Anyone try straight gas vs blended?
Youtube channel a Jeep owner saw a big jump in mpg's vs 10% ethanol blend.
Prices in my town are +10 cents over premium but I know alot of people swear by it in their lawn care equipment, chainsaws ect.Screenshot_20230528_152603.jpg

I reset my computer today and was pleased to see 21mpg on a round trip mixing city driving and highway. I’m just under 1000 miles, non hybrid.

This was coming back from a fishing trip, no stops, from Basalt Co to Berthoud Co, over Vail Pass and Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnel, plus through Denver. Average speed was 67 mpg or so.The truck is going to perform great on the open road. Anyone getting crappy mileage has to be in town or high idle times. I am becoming convinced these engines want to be worked, they seem to perform much better IMO. Summer gas and warmer temps have seen a slight improvement.

Edited to add I run 91 premium all the time

Driving there, did little more mountains but stayed in Eco mode with A/C on, didn't going over 70mph, and stayed in "eco" acceleration the whole drive... Super happy with the Sport mode results posted above.

Canadian Platinum trim non hybrid. 18" aftermarket wheels with cooper XLT range e (not light) since new, now about 18000km on it. Sucks all around typically 18L/100km. Heres the interesting thing, the *worst* mileage is when driving nicely in normal mode at 110km/hr aka around 65mph. Sport mode is better mileage by 1.5L/100. Sport mode driving like an idiot at 120kmh is even better. eco is better. tow mode is better. tow mode hauling my 1200lb aluminum trailer is better. I can only assume that the added weight of the wheels puts it out of the sweet spot for mileage. 90km/h is also considerably better but thats like molasses driving. Best i've ever calculated on a tank is 16.5L/100. Glad I didn't buy it for the mileage, although tough to swallow coming from a GM 6.2 which was 10-12L/100.

I have the ProMax Hybrid and have an average of 17.4 combined, usually set my cruise at 80 on the highway.
Sorry, don’t believe for a minute anyone is getting 29 mpg. I usually drive in eco mode unless it’s really hot outside and I need the air conditioning at max. I’ve only used sports mode one, and only for a few minutes.

Pulling 4800 lbs of boat . Add 7% for 35” tires I get 14.55 . On normal tank with no tow I get about 16.7-17. Not as good as my 3.0 duramax but I’m ok with this . I hate gm dealers

I did a trip over weekend going 2 lane backroads with just enough traffic to speed limit. 120 flattish miles one way at 60 mph in 90 degree temps in stock SR5 TRD Premium in Sport mode on Kroger regular octane gas. Hit 25 mpg on the DIC which was the high point for my 8k of miles. That is my theoretical limit not involving hurricane force tail wind, insane hyper milling 6 inches from a 18 wheeler bumper or other stuff people claiming to hit 30 must be doing.

That's pretty good. I pull my boat which is just over 5k lbs. But it's a center console with a big T-top as a sail. I am lucky if I get 9 or 10 mpg

I was thinking the same thing. I'm usually around 13.5-14.5 towing a utility trailer with two fishing kayaks on it. I'm assuming I'd be close to 10 with an actual boat. Maybe there's hope after all.

I'm getting 18.1 hand calc'd mpg every fill with mostly city driving. Get 10 mpg towing 7000lb camper. Then 14-15 towing 3000 trailer. OEM 18 wheel/tire sized with aftermarket methods and at wildpeaks.

When I did my wheel and tire upgrade I tried to keep the unsprung weight low . I used a 285 75rr18 that weighs 60 pounds and the wheel is 27 if I remember right . This towing was not flat at all either . From Reno to lake Almanor using two different routes
