My Last tank came to 21
Mph and I am averaging 22
70 miles miles mostly highway into this one. Numerous stretches of 75-80mph cruising with a little bit of heavy throttle.

One thing I'm starting to pick up on is if I started out good on my 09 Crewmax then had more than a couple bouts of heavy throttle I'd drag the tank's average down and never be able to salvage it for that cycle. If I'd mess up and show even just a little bit of aggression I was screwed for that tank. I had to hypermile the entire tank with very little room for error to stay in the high teens.

On this Powerboost platform if I drive gently and max out electric mode to get close to the 30s for the first several miles, there's no way I'll be able to stay there. I might sink to 21 or 22 BUT then I can stay around there for the rest of the tank just not driving like a complete maniac.

If I am aggressive right after I fill up the Powerboost sinks into the high teens and it's a real struggle to get above that. But this means worse case scenario is still 3-4 mpg better then the Crewmax averaged.

Regardless I doubt I'll be able to be this disciplined for more than one more tank.

Part of the reason for that is MPG is not linear and is a poor way to measure efficiency. L/100km for the win

*Gallons burned per 100 miles would also be a better unit of measurement

Man those butt seat massagers in the F150 Limited are really nice – circle pattern. I can get used to those ! …as a passenger.
A bit too distracting for the driver...no ?
Being a passenger you notice a lot of stuff.
Saw a ton of New Tundras.
The white ones look like the cop SUV's (ford?) coming at you.
Those front spoilers that deploy hang really low to the ground. Imagine not seeing a dead small animal on the road to avoid it.

I noticed this too. Well I would have noticed this as a driver also.
Is this Dodge truck thing ?

i saw a Ram3500 with these last week and yes it does seem to almost always be a Dodge when I see these, rarely Fords and NEVER Silverados. Lots of Fords with the huge Home Depot Bucket sized outlet in the normal spot under the bumper. It's always a Dodge rocking the huge bed stacks.

I know Diesels respond more to exhaust work than gas but I'm always curious what a setup This extreme does to a truck's performance or if it's well past the diminishing returns mark. Or maybe these guys have some insane 1000 hp setup that needs it.

I was kindly thinking of a way to state that.

“so let me get this right. You want $7k below msrp for the raptor and to pay $14k above msrp for the TRD pro. “

I also looked at used and there’s an identical one with 1k miles for $77k like 40 miles away

ha, I'm just saying, objectively the thing it's designed/marketed to do, it's not that great at. So for dealers to be charging that kind of mark-up is alittle silly. But I guess it does have TRD PRO plastered literally all over it, that adds HP I think.

"YOLO" is quite a sales pitch, first time I've seen that one. I'm gonna whisper to my 8 year old to break that out to his Mom at some point, maybe next time they disagree on when he should go to bed.

It is an entirely appropriate mentality for buying a vehicle but a rather ballsy thing to say to a customer when trying to over charge for one.

I went to the local Toyota Service/Parts department for the first time today to pick up an oil filter and crush washer. $9. Pretty busy. Lots of people calmly waiting flipping through their phones. I couldn't help but compare to the Ford dealer 1 mile away. Regrettably, I got to know them pretty well. 1/3-1/2 the people in the Ford waiting room were just pissed and bordering on hostile because their vehicle was tied up, delayed for parts or whatever.

While waiting to pick up an oil filter and crush washer, you walked a mile (each way) to get a feel for the Ford service department waiting room, and surmised 50% of the people were pissed and hostile because of delayed parts? Or are you taking a separate experience and applying that as representative of that waiting room 100% of the time?

I was in the Ford dealer 10-20 times over the 43 days my F150 was in the shop. Close to a majority of the service customers were pissed every time. I've been to the Toyota service side once, as stated, and it seemed like it was the business as usual. Nobody was wound up.

That's crazy, I'd be livid! I just get annoyed when people have terrible local service departments and apply it to all Ford (or any other make) service departments. My local Toyota service department is a nightmare (part of the reason I dumped my '22 Tundra) because they service RAM, Jeep, and Toyota, but I understand there's great Toyota service departments as well. Same for Ford and all the major players. FWIW, my local Ford service department has to be one of the worst in the nation so I'm not trying to stand up for Ford in anyway here.
