    Hey Tundra bros,
So I bought a machine early this year, not knowing hardly anything about lifting trucks. Bought it because it was in great shape but didn't know that 3/1.5 spacer lift is frowned upon until I started doing some digging on why it road like a dump truck on the road.
I'm not looking for a Cadillac comfort, just looking to not arrive at work sore.

    Here's the set up:
TRD Off-Road Bilstein Suspension (4600 I think) with a 3 inch spacer lift up front.
1.5" blocks in back, (I know shackles are better but am not currently worried about the rear)
35"x12.5"xR20 K02 Tires, (E-rated, which isn't helping the stiff ride)
I did recently put JBA UCA on.
And a front diff drop kit.

I'm thinking first step is to get rid of the spacers up front and put some coilovers on from @Toytec Lifts, was going to put on Kings 2.5 with external res, but that seems overkill seeing as how 99% of my driving is pavement.
Would something like the Toytec Eibach be sufficient? Pretty cheap, usually you get what you pay for but the reviews seem to be positive. How do Toytech/Eibach set up compare to Old man emu?

    Any insight would be appreciated.
If anyone is interested in 35" K02 let me know ha.

What about some 5100's on the top setting? Wouldn't cost a lot and isn't overkill.

    Too many, but not enough....
If u drop the 20 inch rims, e rated tires, add eibach coils instead of spacers and go with CB shackles instead of blocks, that's going to be about as good as it gets.

What psi are you running? That plays a big role. I like 35 normally but go up to 40 for long trips for mileage but I noticed a huge difference with only 5 psi on e loads.

Have you run blocks and shackles? Wondering how big a difference they really make.

I asked BF Goodrich (Michelin now) about Tire Pressure for the E rated K02 on a half ton, they said 39psi front and 42psi rear.. so that's what I'm running

Do you run E rated tires?

Ya I have KO2 also. I run 35 in front and 32 in back unless I'm on a road trip. All the weight is in the front and you need the traction in the rear. They say higher psi in back because of hauling or towing but most times your not. Try dropping your psi and see how it feels

Also I have never messed with blocks I have shackles and roadmaster active suspension in the back with extended bumps.

Can you put a 1/4" CB shim on top of the 5100? Just to keep 3in up front, or I guess could swap out the 1.5" blocks for 1" shackles and just used the Bilstein 5100 top setting (2.3") I believe. What do you run?

Definitely ditch the 20 inch wheels first. Go to 18s. The added sidewall will soften stuff s bit.

A bit more info on your intended use will help with suggestions. Pics as well.

What do you have up front? So you run 35" k02 E-rated at 32 psi in the back?

There is no height adjustment in the back. You lift with the shackles. Make sure you get extended bumps and your shock can handle the added height.

Return it to the stock TRD Offroad config, with regular Michelin LTX A/T2 tires on 18 wheels. It actually was a pretty plush truck, on par or even better than my Volvo.

I currently have 275/65R18 Ko2s at 35 psi. Eibach coilovers up front with shims for 2 inch lift with durobump stops and trd swaybar. Rear has Billy 5160 with cb shackles, roadmaster active suspension and durobump for 2.5 inch rear lift at 32 psi.

I was referring to putting shims up front with the adjustable 5100's (2.3" of lift). Extended bumps for the front? or front and rear, haven't heard of rear bumps

I offroad and the bumps were a clutch upgrade and keeps the suspension safe. No hard bottomouts and jumps are super smooth. Totally worth the money.

I'm stock but I believe you can put the shim on up front since you already have upgraded UCA's.

For the rear, @MadMaxCanon setup is solid

You can safely put a 1/4 shim up front as is I think. With my eibach I had to get slightly longer bolts up top to be safe.

No need to go stock, but smaller wheels will get you more sidewall in the same size tire. That will be an improvement in comfort. If you're not on rough terrain and you're not towing, ditch the heavy tires as well. Spacers are usually fine for pavement princesses, so I wouldn't change that in the front if you like the look. Shackles will definitely ride better than the blocks in the back, though.

As for the money, if you want a more comfortable ride you'll have to put something into it. If you try to go cheap you'll wind up changing it again later and paying more overall. Buy once, cry once.

After talking to Toytec, they recommended starting with the suspension and going to shackles.
Going to do the 6112 Front and 5100 rear (Bilstein) and put CB shackles and take out the blocks. As well as put in a carrier bearing drop.
I'll let y'all know it goes. The tires are brand newish so I don't really wanna go that route at the moment even though I know it'll soften up the ride

I went from 35s E-rated MT tires to 37s C-rated AT tires, it completely changed the riding comfort, in a good way.

6112’s and Bilsteins in general are not known for a plush ride.

Op I had a similar setup on a Tacoma and had a similar setup that caused a bad ride quality.

I had custom leaf springs made that lifted the truck 1 inch in the rear. OEM TRD Bilstein’s could not handle. I then installed Bilstein 4600’s (valved differently than OEM) on advice given…ride was even worst. Ultimately had to go to 5100’s for lifted applications. The OEM and 4600’s would over extend making the ride horrible.

Small spacers are fine up front but those larger ones are not that good as you already know.

Eibach equivalent all day everyday over the 5100’s IMHO. I had many family members and three of my own Toyota trucks either Bilstein’s (4600’s and/or 5100’s-not their high end stuff). Once I installed the Eibach, I completely changed my opinion of Bilstein simply due to the ride quality.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the bilstein 6112 coilovers for the front and 5100 for the back, and am going to swap out the rear block lift for CB shackles. I'm sure it'll help ride quality tremendously over 4600 with 3 in spacer.
I got it all for 1,400, thought about fox or kings but just seems overkill for a pavement princess.

I agree with the higher end stuff be overkill.

I have the CB 1 inch shackles on my Tundra. I was EXTREMELY leery about the OEM Bilstein’s being long enough after my Tacoma debacle. I went ahead and trusted CB’s advice. My truck rides nicer than stock in the rear now…

I did 5100's on the bottom setting combined with +2.5" Eibach springs. It rides like stock and is exactly 3" of lift. I did however need to add a 1/4" thick shim on drivers side to correct the 1/2" of lean.
