Hey there sir. I was told by another member on the forum that you can help me possibly find an adapter. I sent you a message, so maybe you're able to help. Let me know if you're able to help or not.

Hell yeah! Valve cover gasket swap on the I6 is brainlessly easy. Can't hurt to take 5 minutes to pull the cover off, brush and vacuum anything off the head, hit the OEM one with paint and let it dry while you run to the LAPS to get a new FelPro gasket. Just sayin'.

Even if that rubber fell inside, that damn thing would literally eat it for breakfast :D

Take my advice, don't be tempted to swap out the I6. If I had another, I'd totally keep it stock, I think. Shifting on the tree might drive me nuts, I'd be tempted to throw a 4spd Muncie or something on it, but only if the floor plate was bolt-on vs. press-formed. I hate cutting floors to add shifters. Although three on the tree is a good theft preventative, that's the kinda truck someone will just chock up and roll away with these days.

Oh and just swap out the rad. Oh wait - parts are adding up to $$$ and this is how it starts :D At least swap out the cap. Flush it and see what you get.

My aunt in Vegas was part of a Husky rescue there.

First time my wife and I stayed at her house together, the Huskies made a point of going into the guest room after we put bags in the room, both shit on the floors right next to the bags. 'Nuff said.

    Seriously contemptuous little f'ers.

Hey y'all. I swear I saw on here at one point where someone JBweld'd or Goop'd or Thermosteel'd their exhaust manifold with some level of success. Who was it?

I removed the gasket cover and the valves look great, like it had just been run yesterday. No key or power though so I was unable to crank and watch to see if there are any weird issues. Fan does spin though with just enough effort to where you feel like you might bend the fan blades; had to bend the fan shroud back up so it could rotate, someone sitting on it probably bent it down to where it was touching the blades. An engine compartment you can sit in! What a world. At one point I had a kid on each fender well.

Yeah nfw, the 250 and three-speed were part of the allure. Engine bay seems pretty much nothing but original stuff, literally nothing looks new. Someone has done a lot of parts replacing on this one on the body and interior (and that body paint looks to be factory color, don't have the SPID to confirm, but it's definitely repainted). Carpet is new, seat is new, seat belts seem new, door cards are new, dash parts seem about 50/50 new/OEM, sticky azz steering wheel DEFINITELY not new. To me that says the truck was running and maybe the PO had planned out an engine swap, hence all the new/nice body and interior stuff, but literally nothing done under the hood?

Will need to do some clutch diagnostics, though; I can only switch between reverse and first gear (and can do this very easily whether the clutch is in or out), but can't get it into the neutral/horizontal position and definitely not over into the 2 or 3 area.

Yeah I have got to avoid this, so we'll see what a flush reveals! And in any event I have to get this thing HOT before I have to worry about keeping it cool!! If I can get to that problem I bet I can convince the wife to let me overcome the other problem (i.e., get a new radiator).

Hey there, so someone in the forums told me that you possibly know of an adapter for the older Donnelly style mirrors as I'm looking to replace my current rearview mirror with one that I received in the mail. Let me know if you can help me find this adapter for the mirror please.

The following message is what I sent to you in your profile, but I guess you weren't sent a notification about it (which is fine). Hopefully this message is allowed in here.

Hey FirstGenVol, I thought I actually did that with the intent of them receiving a notification. However, because of the fact that I am still new, maybe there's another way for me to do this and I'm not aware of it.

With all the new stuff, sounds like someone must've dumped a bankload at LMC :D

On the linkage I mentioned this before, but you should find the 3 on tree ("3oT") linkage aside/below the brake MC if memory serves. It's VERY common for that linkage to get out of whack and make it impossible or difficult to shift gears. I had a similar issue on my '68. There's probably a method to get it just right; the PO of my truck didn't know how. When I updated my 250 to a 292, in reassembling things, I nailed it perfectly and it shifted like a dream after. It didn't require a hell of a lot that I recall. I wasn't even trying to get the linkage perfect.

Is there any reason you don't just follow the classic way of heating and removing the old tombstone, then installing a new one?

FYI: Mark where the current keystone is on the OUTSIDE of the window before starting so you know were to glue the replacement :D

Nope. Just drove from TN to AZ and back without any back pain. Just the normal discomfort you get from being stuck in a vehicle for 27 hours. There is a company that makes replacement bottom cushions. They may offer one for the back too.

    https://www.usautoseatcover.com/pro...007-toyota-sequoia-driver-bottom-foam-cushion

Same here. My seat is more comfortable than Ravioli's.

I can say my chairs are way more comfy than the squaw's chairs. But the titan bench is the bee's knees. Eventually i wanna trade for a rclb bench.

With the notch for the manual.

I usually like bench seats too, idk what’s up with this one. Maybe I’m just used to the crappy taco seats
Hell yea thanks for the link I’ll check them out. I probably just gotta get my back use to the different seat

Interesting, do some of the beaches have adjustable lumbar? My seat is just recline, and back and forth
