I have an SR5 with the off road package as well so thought I'd chime in. I find that at like 35-40 mph and faster, this suspension feels pretty good/solid.

Below 35, I know exactly what you're talking about. The feel inside the truck over bumps and dips seems more exaggerated than what you'd expect, especially when you hit a little dip. And I'm not talking about a harsh/jarring ride - it seems like it is way more bouncy than I would expect. I wouldn't mind having a firmer ride at all if it meant the suspension felt more composed. Coming from a modified 4Runner, I would think it would be possible to correct some of the bounciness with different shocks.

I'm with you though - I didn't notice how it really rode until later on. Hard to get a sense of that on a test drive hopping on the highway for 5 minutes. I'm not pumped about it either.

Found out that some of it is that on my initial ride home the kids were with me, and 3 teenagers adds about 400 pounds or so... Which results in a softer ride than when it's just me in the truck.

Truck feels smooth as butter on the highway though, which is nice. Gotta get used to the wind sounds when I hit 120 km/h though, it's quite abrupt.

I can fully agree on riding smoother with some weight. Empty it does have a tendency to “jiggle”.

My ride is smooth on the highway, but along with a few other complaints, I will say the stumble it has from a dead stop take-off sometimes is definitely something Toyota needs to fix with a ECU remap or something. It's not the stupid Auto stop/start, that's off ASAP everytime I get in, but when taking off at times I'll give it gas and then more and way more, and it's like its choking, and then catches up with itself and surges and goes. I also have a few clunks I need addressed that sound like driveline during drive gear switching (parking-D to R, vice versa) and at speed, while hitting bumps it sounds like an UCA or LCA bolt is loose almost or something else suspension related, and lastly, I hate that the radio has only one know and I can't scroll through stations on SiriusXM and it doesn't list the entire channel list, but have to go by category or saved favorites; absolutely retarded.

    Edited* = I'm at 4000mi - 23' TRD Offroad Premium Pkg.
