I'm torn about having a shop do it, while they're under there doing my front 6112's later this year. I'm not afraid of a little fire, plenty of small propane torches in my garage. But I have a long tow ahead of me this upcoming weekend, now was not the time to maybe be snapping hard-line fittings, and me without a flare tool.

I am not sure, it was on there when I purchased from the dealer. My guess is 50% or darker since I was in a 35% two days ago and it was lighter.

Fingers crossed I dont have issues, or stay within my budgeted issues amount LOL

Tint is backwards. The lower the number, the darker the tint.

Yeah, I knew that and still typed it wrong LOL.... He confirmed he has 50 so I am thinking I may have 35% or similar.

The previous owner tinted my windshield (don't recall what %) but I was curious about doing an eyebrow as well. Good to know it can be done. I feel like you can't have enough sun/heat protection, up to the limits of safe visibility of course. My 4runner took forever to cool down and I had to keep the a/c blasting. The windshield tint makes such a difference. Use much less a/c now and it stays cooler longer.

the windshield film was listed as 80% ceramic. the strip was said to be 20%.

the windshield and sunroof tint have made a significant and notable difference in the interior heat. I parked yesterday facing the sun and the car was not sweltering inside and did cool off quickly.

Thanks, we aren't allowed to windshield tint, but if it's basically clear, I bet we could get away with it. I was just curious what cops would see. Appreciate the response.

I don't know of any state that allows the entire windshield to be tinted. We have both of our windshields at 50%. With a lighter tint on the 4Runner, most people can't tell that it's tinted at all. The 4R is 50% with 15% on everything else. My truck is 50% with 5% on the others.

I can tell from your pictures that its tinted (visually very dark regardless of tint level). A cop would as well. Not fooling anyone. Even rdiddy5's looks blue but it also appears translucent, so it may get a pass.

The rest of the windows will make the windshield look darker. I don't know what percent is on his other windows.

When I was in Texas, I had the clear ceramic on. The only issue I ever ran into was the inspection stickers. I told them repeatedly to hand me the stick and then I would put it on with plastiwrap over it. 5 or so years in an inspection state with cops all over and never had an issue.

confirmed his is 50% so we think mine is 35.... After the trip I will most likely pay to have it removed and backed down to 50.

With the amount of Fl drivers that don't even have insurance or a current registration, I'm not worried about tint. Speaking of cops, have you driven over the new Gandy extension coming from the Tampa side and seen that Mustang that the FHP is using? It sits down in the dip at the bottom so that you cant see him until you crest the hill.

Like I mentioned, I am going to roll the dice and see how this trip goes. I am set to pay a couple tickets, but if I dont, I will keep it when I return LOL.

I hit that bridge all to often. I thought I was crazy when I saw that.... I havent seen it parked, but I saw it pulling someone over... The cars they pull here are insane...

If you don't have a tint guy that you use, Reeders is who I have been using. They are really good. They are at 66th St right at Bryan Dairy Road in Pinellas Park.

Yeah he has been parked on the inside emergency lane area for the last 3 days at around 3:30 when I pass through. My Escort and Waze picks him up. PP has quite a few unmarked cars, trucks, and SUV's.....they are sneaky. They have an F-150 that has a light bar that pops up out of the tonneau cover.

I remember when I saw this the firs time back in 01. It was a Dodge Dakota with a hard top that popped up lights. Lit a lot of us up in Seminole. Now I just assume they are all cops LOL.

I took the truck to Lake Mary yesterday, the first time I left the home area since purchase. The truck handled great with very little noise from the stuff on it. During the drive there was an F350 that looked like a work truck that flew past me. Then shortly after he had someone pulled over.

By the way, this area of Florida is a lot nicer and I remember! I got the truck up to averaging 13.5 mpg LOL

I hear ya. I look for small antennas or a city tag although some of them have regular tags. 13.5 is about my average on 34's driving from my house to the base every day. It might be a little less at time with running the Pedal Monster. I have the urge to accelerate a little once in a while.

I used to look for those yellow tags, but I havent seen many on the unmarked recently.

LOL, I get that! One reason I am not looking to buy one. That, and the $$$ of things I still need to offload from the Ram before i dump more in the Tundra.

Here’s a mod for ya, since you have a train horn, throw a cowcatcher on that front bumper. Paint it TRD red.
